Has anyone noticed the Nemo shark in the background?

The tank sits on an outside wall with a window to the street. He has a sliding door covering the window during daytime hours. Once dark, he slides the door over so the tank can be viewed from outside. His attention to detail and the work he has put into this is amazing. He's in the process of building a seahorse tank as well.

I saw the skull covered in meteor shower too, and thought it was too cool.
So i decided to make my own. Currently, it is covered down to the cheak bones. Soon i will remove the frag i started it with on top of the skull so that it doesn't

look like the skull is wearing some weird sombrero lol....

By the way, the skull is a bit smaller than a baseball.
So it stands out, thus could be used as a show piece if arranged correctly in the water box.

My 2 cents

Usually i dont like skulls (too morbid for me)in a tank but thats awesome.

I have one of those wrecked helicopter ornaments that my son insisted on having. I had it in my frag tank for a while, but when I had to tear that tank down I put it in the display and set some montipora frags on it. It took a long time but they have started to encrust onto it.

When people come over it takes a while for them to notice it, but when they do they love the look. Reefers and non-reefers alike.

Ironically, the helicopter came from WWC - the last place you'd expect to see a decoration like that.

No recent pics, but when it was in the frag tank the algae blenny loved to look out the window:

I watched a video somewhere and the tank was full of I assume off pipes and fittings painted to look all rusty and stuff it was pretty cool

Aaahhh, this was the one that inspired me to do my skull...

Are those decors on Petco be ok on saltwater or they are strictly freshwater?

I bought mine at petco, its a fresh water tank ornament, didnt see any problems putting it in my reef tank. Its been there a little over a year.
Purple coraline also grows on it.

Salt water tanks are for fun and you nailed it! I am not sure if I would do that but you've got me thinking...

I posted a thread just a minute ago with this question but this looks like a perfect thread to ask in! I really, really want a statue of Cthulhu in my tank but I worry that it might leach something into the water. Would something like the below statue cause issues in a tank? Thanks!

I used @Paul B idea and put a broken bottle in my tank.
Just waiting on coralline to start growing and a few nice display macros to go inside the broken bit. I'll get a better pic when the whites come on tomorrow.
