Nice, also I guess we both learned that aptaisia is not good around coral. Sorry for the mis information on that.
So just pour super glue in that hole and it should kill it?Palys make good fillers though , especially if you're starting off I keep em you can always place something that stings near them if they get too out of hand. As for the hot nail ory case soldering iron I do that cause it's pin point accurate though super glue will work.
Um... ok. They are beautiful in my opinion.Palys are nuisance softies, I’d get rid of them...
I read that lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide works well? Maybe I should try those before I try the super glue?Yeah super glue in the hole works just messy.
Cinnamon paly grandi - cheers

Just noticed a bit of green could be a green paly grandi... you need to give it a lot more light... for the green to come out.. they go brown when not receiving much light.. handle with care they have toxins! So no cuts when handling them - seems like you a newbie, hate to hear you went to hospital due to lack of knowledge!Nice, also I guess we both learned that aptaisia is not good around coral. Holy- ... I will definitely be carful! :0Just noticed a bit of green could be a green paly grandi... you need to give it a lot more light... for the green to come out.. they go brown when not receiving much light.. handle with care they have toxins! I am in bed right now, but I will get up and put it in the tank.I can’t believe people are acting like an aiptasia is going to nuke your tank. Don’t keep them in the bag over night, that is crazy. Either kill the aiptasia as you’re transfering the frag to your tank, or leave it, it’s not going to take over your tank over night. If you’re in this hobby long, you’re going to end up with a few aiptasia in your tank unless you’re militant about removing frag plugs, dipping, and quarantining all of your corals. IMO, they’re just a part of keeping corals and you just have to manage them. I really just don’t understand why people are so crazy about hitchhikers and innocuous pests these days. Aiptasia can sting your corals, but it’s not like they will dissolve your corals, it’s more of a mild irritation (and some corals don’t really seem bothered by them). So get rid of it, or don’t, but don’t leave your coral in a bag over night.
Not a noob, and I know that palys and zoas have toxin.Just noticed a bit of green could be a green paly grandi... you need to give it a lot more light... for the green to come out.. they go brown when not receiving much light.. handle with care they have toxins! I use an old toothbrush and metal scrape tool and scrub the heck out of the area and use scrapper and scrap like crazy and then dip coral in saltwater a few times rinse and repeat till aptaisia is gone and rinsed cleanI am in bed right now, but I will get up and put it in the tank.
Tomorrow morning, I will get on killing the aiptasia.
Comment was directed at James.. not sure how you interpret towards you perhaps I hit wrong person on reply - my bad.. Anyhow, better be safe than sorry for OP. But come on, anyone entering the hobby who educates themselves well would know Aiptasia sting corals and it’s a major pest - many posts online and even treatments for it.. lol!! Reef on! Your comment says otherwise! Smile and take it lightly.. we all constantly learning in this hobby! Not a noob, and I know that palys and zoas have toxin.
I was referring to aptaisia stinging corals.
Everything I’m reading says not to damage it in anyway, or it may split and release dozens of bay nems in the water.I use an old toothbrush and metal scrape tool and scrub the heck out of the area and use scrapper and scrap like crazy and then dip coral in saltwater a few times rinse and repeat till aptaisia is gone and rinsed clean
What’s why it’s done in separate tub of waterEverything I’m reading says not to damage it in anyway, or it may split and release dozens of bay nems in the water.
I will try the method I mentioned above in a bit.
But I should definitely get rid of this one today, right?I have some idea why people are afraid of hitch hikers with all the horror stories floating about , personally i welcome the majority of hitch hikers and take care of pesky ones early since I have left thing alone a little too long in the past.
