upgrading from a biocube to a 90 gallon!

it's finally game on.

i've just ordered my first large tank i couldn't be more excited.

stock list includes:

90 gallon reef ready marine land tank 48" x 18" x 24" inches

majesty stand and canopy

an aqueon proflex 4 stage sump

1 mag return pump

2x LED's

90 lbs of reef savers rock

75 lbs of sand


The rock arrived today, it's a lot bigger than what i was hoping for so im going to be taking a hammer and chisel to it sometime this week.

I also need to do some research on glueing and drilling these rocks together. I'm going to go for a very minimalistic look but i wanted to order more rocks so i had more options. i want a few over hangs and caves so acrylic sticks are going to be necessary!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So I'm starting the aqua scape today
It's not so easy considering the sizes are pretty large and I'll also be using some rocks from my current setup
But so far
Any opinions?

Thinking of calling this tank dragon dens or something dragon related because if you notice the two rocks in the middle and right hand side look like dragons skulls[emoji16]

Looks pretty cool so far.

I just saw this thread so it might be a little too late but I used Marco's E400 cement to glue my rock together. Did not need to do any drilling or use any rods and I was able to get some cool caves and overhangs. And the structures are solid, just like it was one piece of rock.

I am still working on getting my plumbing finished, it has been more of a headache then I thought it would be. Currently all of my rock is in a stock tank or tub in the garage so it doesn't really show well right now. I hope to finish the plumbing up this weekend and then get rock and water into the tank early next week.

As soon as I get it setup I will take some pics though. I am going for minimal rock work in this tank though so there are only a couple of structures going in a 180.

That's a good looking stand and canopy.

As far as your aquascape is concerned I personally like a more open scape, adds depth.
