upgrading from a biocube to a 90 gallon!

That's a good looking stand and canopy.

As far as your aquascape is concerned I personally like a more open scape, adds depth.

There's a great sticky thread here that'll help. Click here for that thread.
Thanks for your input! I agree with you!
But I'm also partial to caves! I've seen that sticky! It's got tons of great info I'll take another look!
Thanks :)

I'm a little happier with this
Just one rock out the way
Almost two separate islands with lots of caves and swimming room

I like the design. I tend to like having islands within the tank, that way if there is a coral that you like that might be a fast grower you can still keep it without having to worry about it taking over the entire tank.

I am looking forward to seeing your tank setup it looks like it is going to be really nice.

Thanks man, I'm really excited myself it's my first large tank so I want to make sure it's done right from start to finish!
In your opinion, Do you think I should seperate them a little more or leave as is?

Me personally I would try to have at least a half inch gap in there. That way you have a little cushion if you put something on the end that has sweepers. However like I said it does look good to me the way you have it so if increasing the gap changes the look it might not be worth it overall.

Thanks for the input my friend!

Still having fun with this!
I think I'm getting closer to what I'm looking for!
I think my left island will be for my euphylia and my right will be a mix of softie and sps

Whatever you decide be sure to leave enough room around the perimeter to make glass cleaning easy.

I had a chance to check out the tank today before its delivery tomorrow!
Stand and canopy done the lights are mounted in the canopy and it looks amazing! I wish I would've taken a pic of the sump it's huge! I'm so excited!
Tomorrow it's time to get wet!

As soon as I scrolled down and saw your final rock scape, I though "ooh I like that one" then I see that's the one you picked! Looks good man. I'm excited to get my 90 up and going too!

Just my BC14 and a little fluval spec v 5 gallon. My 90 is currently sitting in my garage waiting for me to stop spending money on other things lol

Let the cycle commence!!

Can I just use an old silverslide to start the cycle or does it have to be a shrimp? Thanks!

i would think a silver side would be fine. anything that starts to decay :)
