UPS Hates Reefers

Lol I swear they must hate us reefers. Crazy prices for overnight shipping and every time I order something it’s delayed! Had 2 packages shipped via UPS that have been delayed. The one has been delayed 5 times, 6 if it doesn’t come today. The other is 2 days and will go up if it’s not today either.
Sorry it’s not really an important topic, just a little rant because I’m frustrated with them now lol

Unfortunately we are at the mercy of these incompetent fools when it comes to our purchases. I avoid retailers who use UPS as I've found them to be the worst for shipping. Although I will say a lot of vendors will offer to use a different carrier of you ask them to.

FedEx always has my stuff at the door no later than 10:30 for overnights. Usually by 9. UPS will say before 12, but it's usually right at 12 or just after... I wish LiveAquaria used FedEx instead of UPS.

Ive never had any problems with LA... UPS in my area runs late I guess. Most of my non fish deliveries have an estimated delivery time of 3-7. Fish always say by 12, but show up either right at or just after.

My Ups delayed 1 day -2 day of my shipment also. FedEx are great alway on time or 30 min lat

I wish LiveAquaria used FedEx instead of UPS.

Ask them if they will ship fedex, I've asked a couple vendors who don't have the option in there shipping checkout part if they will use another carrier and they did no problem. UPS in my area just say it will get to my house by 7pm, never shows up earlier than 6:45pm lol

It is probably pretty dependent on your particular driver. For my area, the FedEx guy is way worse than the UPS guy.

That def stinks but this is the absolute worst time of the year to order anything esp things needing overnight shipping. Winter weather, holiday volume increases all play a role in our packages being delayed.

This is exactly why I will ask people if they ship using UPS. I have had nothing but problems with them. I ship coral all the time and have never had a issue with fedex.

I typically dont have problems with UPS, but recently there were some delays. I think it was a combination of holiday volume and the ridiculous cold and snow in many places along the east coast. Happy to say that my AquaSD delivery arrived at 9AM today, right on time.

UPS has caused me a lot of grief and dead fish and corals. I’ve experienced all sorts of frustration - not showing up, putting a bs exception that there was nobody to accept (even though I have a doorman), writing that the package was damaged and returned to the sender of course the sender would never get it...

however, I will say the last time when I actually called their customer service mostly thinking I’d vent and curse, the lady on the phone was very apologetic. When I told her I have a shipment of live animals she made the truck driver deliver the package within an hour even though he was already done with my bldg (the driver said it wasn’t loaded on the truck..)
