Urgh seriously.

Flock of Seagulls. I Ran?

Wow very good I was thinking that would take someone little longer lol. Love that song (and only that one by them lol). Okay for those this should be easy what song by Queen was banned by mtv? I can’t say much else lol it will give it away.

Fat Bottomed Girls or something like that?

Lol nope this song came much much later than that one. Okay it was considered very humourous by every country except the USA and (I think South America when they performed it live the audience through rocks at mercury until he did one thing).

@crusso1993 yes and no about that being the first it’s still controversy because if you include that one you have to include abba’s album visitors also. ABBA had all of it done prior to Springsteen, but they only had the tech in Germany it wasn’t released in the states until later I think 82 and Springsteen was 84 but was in the states. It was produced when cbs and Sony had a new operation in oh I think Indiana lol I think. But Billy Joel’s album came out in 1978 and reached disc format in 82, so usually gets the catalog credit as first but the actual first cd people could buy was born in the USA by Springsteen. So yeah it’s still controversial to this day but still fun to know all of it :)

And this was all before you were born.....you spend too much time at home! LOL...your mother called and she agrees 100%.

I want to break free. Final answer

That lol is the final answer and correct one. I want to break free written by John Deacon. The drummer roger Taylor (.was his idea to dress up as woman). It was meant to be funny and kinda back fired but love that song.

Okay new song let’s see, this may be harder this is normally played at clubs (brother use to dj) how I fell in love with 80s. This was a one hit wonder, came out in 1987-8 vh1 has it listed as number 83 on their top 100 best music videos lol (I have no idea why). It was also shown on Andy Warhol’s 15 minuets (I can’t lie I had to look that part up. But it’s famous for one of the top club dance songs so ahhh people older than me (26) will definitely know this song if they went out dancing.

Lol you would not believe how much crap I get from my parent saying I was born in the wrong time frame, among some of my friends. It didn’t help that when my older brother left (to be deployed) he gave me his whole cd collection, which was majority of 70s and 80s but I will do a 70s song next :).

Your posts make me crack up. Except the one about your brother in your bed. As a father I am appalled by this. I am sorry you have to deal with this. Looks like those kids need you more than ever. A hard working positive rollmodel. Young kids are amazing. Let them help with the tank, And house work. You will be surprised how they will want to do a good job. Enjoy those kids. Your a good aunt.
Good for you , kicking him out. By letting him stay and making bad decisions, and lying, and who knows what else, you were only ENABLIING him. That always ends up bad and the only real solution is tough love. He either changes his ways or he lives on the street. It's his choice. The kids can be taken care of in a multiple of ways. It seems this time he's not capable of being a father to them in any responsible way. You did the right thing. Don't let him con you to come back. I fear as I read this thread I will see that happening. As for the tank get a monster eel for that sump and we will see if they flip their little wizzers in that tank.

One of those musicians who likes to rhyme and reminisce about tougher times. This guy was assassinated in the early 90’s though.

Not for children

(Video removed by Mods for Language.....remember, family friendly.)

Very clever rhymes though lol.

Hello,

Wow he was assinated, (similar to John Lennon) but I have to read about this new guy. Always food for the brain.

So the artist was Paul lekakis and song was boom boom.

Hello,

I was born in 1993 so I am 26 but yes I had the typo back on the first post. But you also have to consider I said I was 1/4 of a century old, meaning I would have had to complete 25 years in order to reach that (so yes i see your point but I can take a snap shot of my drivers license.’ @crusso1993 does this help you with your quandary? If you want blood samples and dna tests lol sure but may take a tad longer. :) but sorry I misspoke or made it unclear that I was 25/26. But still my user name says Sarah24 which is what brought the idea up in the first place.
I was 12 years older than what you are now - when you were born.:D:p:confused::)

First album on CD was 52nd Street by Billy Joel. It preceeded Springsteen's Born In The USA by more than 1.5 years. However, Born In The USA was the first commercially available album in the US.

And I'm thinking @Lowell Lemon has got to be right with Flock of Seagulls but they had 3 hits with "I Ran" being the most popular.
I was going to say Billy Joel but you beat me to it.

Well lol let’s do reverse math, if I’m 26 (sorry I’m not giving any blood tests or dna, urine samples hair lol), and you were 12 older than that would make you 38 now 38 from 1993 means you were born 1955 :). But I was still 25 when I wrote that post because of the time I was born on the .5th lol so I was still technically right.

So this is from the 70s it was a golden hit (@Fin I bet you could dance to this one lol ) but do you remember the rubberband man song lol.

Close. I was born in 1954, but my birthday is in December, so on your February 93 b-day, I was 38. 39 that December. I am a dinosaur, in other words. Ha.

Unfortunately, I do remember that song, but I was not really a fan of Disco. :-)

While the whole disco thing was happening, I was listening to Lynyrd Skynard, Allman Brothers Band, Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Grateful Dead, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Fleetwood Mac, The Band, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullett Band, Chicago, Firefall, Steely Dan, just to name a few. I did just fine without disco. :)
