Vitamin C dosing for zoanthids (I am clueless)

Alright after reading this thread I think I am convinced..... I believe I read at the beginning that I need to pull the chemi-pure and the purigen out of the system correct? Do I leave it out for good? I want to start dosing tonight, I only have 34gl RSM so i will be going with the brightwells bottle. I was reading the recommended amounts and the 500ml bottle will last me a while.

I think i might give this a try as well. Just trying to figure out how much to dose a 120 gal display with 40 gal sump

I have about 10 bags of Purgin in my sump. I don't think it removes the VC but I do dose at the end of the sump, after where the Purigen is placed, just in case. I think that bottle of Brightwells, will be used up sooner than you think, unless you have a tiny tank. Be sure you have a good-working skimmer.

So running purigen is ok but how about running the chemi-pure elite (carbon bag with phosban).... That is the one i am really worried about

Just ordered myself 3 bottles!!! I will start by taking a bunch of pictures of what my system looks like now than a couple months from now after dosing. the one question is how fast do you ramp up? im going to start with the 5 ppm but i dont know how fast to ramp up and when do you stop what should i top out at?

You can ramp up every 3 days but if things start to look like there's a brown slime on everything(bacterial bloom), then back off a bit & do a WC. The good bacteria is going to grow faster than your skimmer can get it out. It's up to you how high you want to go. get to 10ppm & if you're happy at that, stay there. I dose around 23ppm, because it's easier to measure 1 ts & everyone looks happy in the tank.

Ok thanks should i ramp up from 5ppm to 10ppm or slower than that?

I'm dosing 2part now. Should I stop that all together or continue that and start this also. My tank is 25 gallon.

2 part has nothing to with this dosing. Keep an eye on your alk if you dose VC regularly. If it's buffered, it shouldn't affect your tests.

does anyone run biopellets/ecobak and GFO while dosing 'NutriBiotic, Sodium Ascorbate, Crystalline Powder' ? I am thinking about giving vit c a try for the health of my mixed tank and fish ( I have no Zoas yet).

You could do a hydrogen peroxide dip: 3-1 dilution with water for 5 minutes, in case they are being attacked by a bacterial infection.

What's actually going on with your zoas? Pic?

they are closed due to cyano , I think and they havn't opened up for a few weeks now.will a peroxide dip kill the algae and help the zoas.

Here are a few more

I read that if you spray them with hydrogen peroxide and then put them in a tub of tank water that kills the algae.
im not having much problems with cyano accept for on my glass as you can see in picture one. would moving them to a different part of the tank away from the glass help in the way of being further away from the cyano.
