Got a wanatabe angel Friday from a reputable online dealer ate good for 2 days then stopped eating no spots no heavy breathing I know the place I buy qts for 3 wks copper and prazi I thought maybe intestanal worms maybe so I dost prazi to the dt all other fish are still healthy. After 4th day in tank dead. These come from vanuto I know it's illegal but it reminded me of the cyanide deaths of the old days what you think @Humblefish

did you ever notice him have the shakes? You should be familiar with that as a sign of cyanide catching.

Drip was eating good for 2 days

How long did you drip acclimate for? Were there any other symptoms? Did you happen to get a video or picture before he died?

I only drip 30 min on all my fish and all fine it really does remind me of a cyanide caught fish. Lower fins ate by crab before I got it out

Oh I dont know about that.... could have been velvet. There have been cases where velvet killed without showing any of the classic symptoms. Seems like the quick death and lack of eating at the end could be indicative of that as well. You dont hear much about cyanide fishing any more. Typically the most simple answer is the correct one.

That picture's pretty blurry. Can you get a clearer one?

Sounds like it's going to be a cold case. (i've been reading murder mysteries lately lol) Keep a close eye on your other fish for the next week or so. If they start showing symptoms or dropping dead, please let us know asap. We'll do our best to help if this happens. Hopefully it wont.

No one else has said it so i will - do not trust anyone else to ever properly treat your fish before arriving. I've had fish spend months in copper and have ich or velvet - has to do with the amount and type of copper used. It means virtually nothing. Not saying someone out there doesn't do it correctly but I would NEVER trust anyone else to do the job for you.

Well said!

Do you know what the SG difference was between the vendor and your receiving tank? Osmotic shock is a possibility with only a 30 min drip, especially if the fish had to go UP in salinity.
