Warning: Use Vibrant at your own risk

As to the lynch mob, this is nothing lol. Try out Reddit, for instance. Yes things got deleted, as they should have been. They were useless to the discussion, they attacked other and needed to go.

Hmm...not sure I agree here. Just mention Neptune or SKY and watch them come out.

Mods here do their best but somethings are inconsistent which leave members having to decide if this is the place for them. No disrespect to those making those decisions but they are what they are. Here and in other internet of places.

WRT recon - tough job. My brother was Navy Corpsmen and moved to Marine Recon. I went Air Force ;) All the best to you and yours. And everyone else here as well. Tough thread to participate in especially with the emotion side of it.

This is where not responding and moving on comes to mind. Make a clarification and move on.

I was never criticized for asking proper and logical questions. While I do not doubt @taricha or @Randy Holmes-Farley or @jda, as I have to come to know them well over the years, I still asked questions and asked for proof, how to interpet "the proof", etc.

It is all in how you do it. Words do not covey well alone in a forum. It also requires that you have to read through some muddle to get all of the data on something in a forum. It is a forum, everyone has a right to post, so things get sideways some times.

End of day, one has to put in work to truly understand things with things. You have to read all you can, ignore anything not relevant, use google-fu to know what the heck and NMR is and how it works, dig thorugh papers on items or chemical to get an understanding on them. This is how one truly learns what the heck is being present and how one should be able to form a decent understanding of the discussion.

In short, I am in no way a scientific person. I am a retired Recon Marine with a master degree in Electrical Engineering. Everything in all of the threads I had no idea about until I ask about them in the correct manner and did my own research on the test, things being discussed, etc. Yet somehow I managed to figure out what was what. It just took some work from my end to understand it. If one does not want to read all the details or ask questions with the correct wording, they should stay out of the discussion.

For the record, I don't doubt the science or what is being said about Vibrant. I only disagreed with some peoples claims that IMO went beyond what is really going on here.

Like calling something in any amount a poison. If you drink too much water, it will poison you. Fertilizer is another good example. In small amounts it's vital to plant growth, in large amounts it will kill everything. Look at a bottle of stump remover and it's highly concentrated fertilizer.

By trying to make that distinction I was on the wrong side apparently.

Hey hey, for the record all I did was point out that what another person said was being misinterpreted and/or misrepresented, b/c it was. I never made any comments in a rude or disparaging manner, nor did I put my own feelings and beliefs into that response. And the response to it was wanting to argue stuff I never said, and accusations of a lynch mob. I personally like this site and feel the majority of folks are just interested in interesting discussion and fair debate — no lynch mobs.

I do think it’s prudent to watch what you’re saying about a company in a thread like this, just to avoid making unjust accusations, and it appears moderators are on top of making sure the discussion stays on track. That said, it’s also good to make sure we’re understanding what others are meaning to convey instead of putting our interpretation on it and saying that’s what they said.

I find it strange there isn't much coming from the manufacturers...
Yes. It has become a black hole. The last word from them is that they were doing their own "Independent" testing. I think I read something about them using various bottles going back six years. I'm wondering where they're getting an unopened bottle from six years ago. Presumably they would use unopened bottles to ensure no contamination. The longer the go radio silent the worse it looks on them that's for sure. Maybe they're consulting with their lawyers.

For all the bluster about dosage, the standard weekly dosage for algaefix is literally more than double that of vibrant. If it was critical in UWC's eyes they would have supplied a syringe not a vague tapered plastic cup. My version of 'generous dosing' was 7 or 8mil instead of 6, but again who could be precise with a floppy plastic cup. It's just a bunch of noise to distract from the real issue - the label does not match the contents.

actually the last information was they were reviewing these threads - not sure why. It wouldn't (to me) have anything to do with the testing

EPA reporting thresholds aside... Could we at least agree that based on what has been shown here Vibrant is not a bacteria blend with a dash of sugar and vinegar as stated on the bottle?
IDK - can we? it depends on how the samples were prepared - btw - I have no reason to think that @taricha or whoever else it was - are preparing sample fraudulently. But - Thats the point of an independent analysis. My assumption - if BRS posted their video - etc - something is forthcoming

while we are at it, does anyone know what’s in betta water? (the stuff Petco sells at a very small markup)
I can do a NMR test for a small fee ;)
Oh and 1st dibs on UWCs avatar (after he comes in of course) ha ha

Ouch…

Make sure you DON’T use this either especially when a company is being completely deceitful!

What the heck. You're right about that having nothing to do with testing. I think we need to setup a fund to do independent testing here on products that claim to be all natural. I have now lost faith in any company that claims their stuff is all natural or herbal, etc. One bad apple can spoil the bunch unfortunately. I would chip in for a fund like this.

You probably should mention it doubles as a laxitive when used with the free applicator tip

I just replied to another comment that it would be nice to setup a fund here to do independent testing on stuff that claims to be all natural, herbal, etc. I would chip in to a fund.

Id have thought a lawyer would have been all over the let's get a statement out asap to try to combat any rumours and bad feeling before it damages the company more than it has
Exactly! It's just very, very weird for them to not get ahead of it. Had they done that this thread probably would've stopped at two pages. By not responding they also jeopardize turning off people who might've still used the product. Silence in some cases is not golden.
