I do that when my arm is in the tank for something. The problem is, if I see, say, 15 bubbles, maybe 5 of them are in a spot I can actually get at and there's probably another dozen in places I can't even see them.Just manually remove it. Pop it and pull.
And if anyone here gasps at this just ask them to prove it releases spores. Because they can't. You will wait just as long as everyone here is waiting for the internal test results. Put on some Bob Marley or some Hendrix, reach in, and start clearing your bubble algae.
My urchin does a decent job of keeping them in check. They're not actually a problem, I just worry about coming home one day to find hundreds of them.
