So the power outage caused your rough patch?

Yes sir, had a generator. But didn’t have a backup heat source for the house other than electric heaters, and with all the tanks, I could only run one small space heater. So even with the heaters and pumps running in the tanks it got too cold in the house at night for the heaters to keep up. So temps in the tanks weren’t very stable.

Been thinking about doing this as well, any camera recommendations? Is it expensive?

So I have been automating my home using the "Home" App from Apple. I have Ecobee thermostats, Logitech Security Camera, Logitech Video Doorbell and 4K Apple TV on it so far. Absolutely loving it. Finally cut the cord and got rid of my Cable TV, Home Phone and Subscription Home Security System.

For the Security camera I picked up a nice Logitech Circle View Home Security Camera for $160 and it was so easy to integrate into my Apple "Home" app. Worth the long term investment IMO as I ditched my old home security system that I was paying $50 a month for and just use the cameras now. Will save me a ton of money in the long run.

I had two large tank leaks within three weeks. I had to replace the leaks with RO/ DI water without salt. My SG dropped to 10.14. I finally had to do what was inevitable. I have Lung Cancer and Myasthenis gravies. I finally hired an aquarium maintainence company. They did a 50% water change and cleaned the tank thoroughly. The tank is now on the road to recovery. After taking care of the tank myself for 32 years I felt bad. But it was better than closing the tank
