What are the most underrated fish?

Don’t have a pic, but Engineer Gobies! I love mine!! They have such cool movements. Everyone that sees them thinks they are eels.
I could do without some of the sand they drop where I don’t want it, but that’s ok I guess!

I’m going to have to be faithful to my own!! Lion fish are STUNNING!

I just got a Randall's Assessor. Not the prettiest fish in the ocean but so entertaining!

I'll tell you the most Overrated. The Moorish Idol. Mine's about to be sold for corals. He doesn't know it, lol.

How about his long lost cousin and impossible to find!
Golden Assesor Basslet!
Aka. Upside down Goldey!

I agree with you. I have a fuzzy dwarf, and he’s my favorite fish that I’ve owned. Bold, personable, and very entertaining once they get comfortable.

My convict tang is the best fish I've ever owned by far. Only fish to survive a velvet outbreak and never once showed any sign of it

I have 2. #1 Midas blenny is just so pretty and such a character and #2 my Canary Wrasse, watching him bury himself in the substrate to go to sleep.

Definitely a northern clingfish and the starry blenny

Here's my starry overlooking the reef as my 6 maxi minis are releasing their eggs and sperm

Cant wait to get another clingfish though, great personality and always will eat from your hand

Lawnmower blennies. Not only do they eat some algae, but their personality is awesome. I had one recently that would swim out from wherever it was if I called its name. No kidding. I'd come home from work, go check out the tank, stand there sometimes 5 minutes or so without seeing him. Call out "Hey Nibbler" and right to the front of the glass. It was like having a water dog! Have only been able to keep one alive 2-3 years or so though, and when they go its fast. Seems like one day they are fat and happy, few days later almost dead with the rest of the tank looking and acting spot on. This last guy had a lump about halfway down its body, guessing somewhere in its digestive system.:(

I love lions! I want to keep them again...but they'd eat everything in my tank. LOL

The good ol standard Ocellaris clownfish. Everyone's looking for designer clowns and easily forget Nemo!
I would say Royal Grammas are underrated.
Relatively cheap, colorful and can keep a group of them.

Both of these! They are cheap and add some good color!

I think there are many underrated fishes. It seems that many people lump all clownfish together and either love “Nemo” or think they are for beginners and move on. IMO, some of the more unusual of the over 25 species of clownfish are underrated.

Chalk basslets are underrated. Picked up a trio, and they are awesome. My royal gramma is an A hole, so he gets no love.
