What is a good RO/DI system?

Hm digital com-100.

These are relatively inexpensive and Im looking for a good TDS meter just to verify.. I mean the in-line ones after some time I can imagine will get some crud on them that may effect reading? I just added a TDS meter for the first time and like the fact I'll know when to replace pre filters and di.

Spectrapure Max Cap 6 stage. I am in TX so I had to go with 2 carbon blocks due to high Chloramine. Most important part of my system, and worth every penny.

I use a BRS, have over a year and no issues. Works great and customer service is great.

Stay away from Air,Water,Ice as their customer service is absolutely horrendous.

I have not had bad experience with Air,Water,Ice. RO/DI filters are pretty simple devices and they all use interchangeable filter elements.

Wow I did not expect all these responses. I appreciate all of them. Now to understand how to hook one up and then decide on what model to buy. Thanks again

NOTHING compares to Spectrapure period. No other vendor specially treats and tests their membranes, no other vendor uses only absolute or near absolute rated sediment filters and no other vendor specially blends all their own DI resins in house based on thousands of hours of real world testing. Their 90 GPD reef systems start at about $125 and are far superior to anything on the market at twice the price.

Spectrapure FTW!! I run the maxcap180.

Very true, everybody else that costs less and also produce 0 TDS water.

Haha, quote of the year right there!! #truth

I have the AquaFX Barracuda and so far have made probably around 100 gallons of DI water... Still 0 TDS!

Also before anyone says "omg, 100 gallons, that's nothing" please consider I have a 29 gallon tank and do 5g water changes once a month. I top off maybe 2 - 3 gallons a week.

Aqua FX Barracuda here as well.
Umpteen 100's of gallons with 0.0 TDS both hand held and inline.
Choose the one that fits your budget and get to reefing.

Dr fosters & Smith have one on sale at the moment for 160 free shipping! FX Barracuda won't fail you!

I drive about 80 miles one way to get RO/DI water!!Im also looking for a system to install under the kitchen sink!So many companies....

Not sure if you plan on drinking the water as well but if so you can got on AquaFXs Web site and purchase the drinking water kit to go with your ro/di and hook it to the icemaker and such!

That would be ideal and prob the way I will go about doing this.

Next question lol

Now that my tank is full of TAP water (treated) what do I do? Leave as is? Do multiple water changes? Etc etc. I have few fish, some crab. Live rock, 2 nems and some coral

I've. Had several ro units over the years. I currently have 2 spectrapure units, they are far and away the best I've ever had
