If you're wanting to compare photos, I'd suggest post them side by side vs scrolling back to page 1.

I've been chasing pH for a while now and don't go to the extremes you do. My main goal is to tighten the daily pH swing.

Because I target pH, my kalk dosing varies on a daily basis.

I average 21L of kalk a day. I don't mess with any other hydroxide nor calcium supplements.

Ever since starting this method, I've seen an increase in coral health and growth.

Here's a video of my tank from last week.

Nice tank.

I tried the night time kalk dosing to maintain Ph stability but really wasn’t liking how many other variables were moving. It blew me away how much more kalk I’d use when the family was home breathing, and when we went away how little kalk it would use and how much more top up water was needed and the effect on alkalinity and calcium, not to mention with the dos you have to “give it permission” to double the potential amount of kalk could be dosed.

Liking just having a base load of kalk and then fine tune the alk with soda ash.

I was thinking about base loading at say 6L through the dos over 24 hours but then add say Add 4L overnight with one of my versas. I think that would stabilize the ph better without effecting so many other variables.
