WHAT IS YOUR DREAM TANK?

200-300 gallon range, I have always wanted a large tank, but I don't own a house and rent a condo, so never gonna happen.

My dream used to be huge.

Now, I want the same tank @Brew12 has. But, inwall at a corner so two panes are viewable. Coast to coast overflow at the other end, steel stand with no equipment under it (sick to death of bending over), Two 100 gallon Rubbermaid tubs on steel stands about 24" tall. One as a reverse lit fuge with Mangroves and chaeto and the other with skimmer, heaters and reactors. The top off would be fed by a solenoid controlled RODI unit and a custom auto water change unit would be done.

Also, the overflow would go into a settling cone first before the first stock tank.

Lighting would be of my own design. LEDs of course.

No, I haven't planned this one much...

Greenhouse with tropical island and various connected pools with tidal flats, mangroves, lagoon, fore reef and a freshwater area on the island with a couple of lounge chairs for hanging out. I would have birds and lizards too.

This is called a public aquarium exhibit.

Or, you can find a high traffic area downtown. Add tables + barista + ritzy fast food = profit.

Seriously, my dream tank is also kind of like this. More details when I get to a computer and can properly type.

The 150g cube is a beast BUT unfortunately for me to say: DO NOT Buy a Marineland version. I know of three person who experienced this tank either splitting or bursting.

Oh my...oh... that made me get teary eyed

12-14x3x2 penninsula dividing the foyer from the den with a large fish room behind the wall it juts out from. Probably have 2 separate closed loops as well as some sea swirls for circulation. SPS tank with some angels including a Genicanthus personatus, a pair of mandarins, loads and loads of fairy and flasher wrasses, Naso, Orange Shoulder, Purple, Desjardini, Achilles, Chevron and Gem tangs.

Of course I would have to keep my current tank for Halichoeres, Anampases and Macrpharygodon wrasses and some LPS.

Then again, I'll have to have a house with a foyer that leads to the den....you said dream!

On the 90- 120g range:
  1. 93 cube
  2. Cylinder tank
  3. SR120

One of my dream tanks is my 93 cube. I had no desire to do one until it was dropped in my lap. Then it became an obsession. ;)

Mine would be a slice of the ocean. 24' long, 6' wide and varying depth from shore to about 30" deep. The inlet/returns would first dump into a mangrove patch. Then next is a sand flat with garden eels and a ray. Then the rubble reef leading to full blown reef. Next the drop off for the big swimmers to party in. Yeah, I'm gonna need to win the lottery, LOL.

In all honesty, @tripdad it's not that far fetched if you took your time and about two or three years to gather, study and build. But more like 5 foot deep at the deep end.

I always wanted a tank 10 to 12 foot but I have had a 300 with a 125 dump.... lots of work. So now at my age a 40 or 65 all in one with premium top notch equipment all the way around.
