What is your favorite coral??

Is that monti an encrusting or plating type?
That's a great question, and the answer is even better, it's both! It encrusted until it comes to a ledge and will then plate out :)

Anything millepora especially a nice furry one
Hard to beat a nice milli! Especially a good sized colony!
Anything and everything that glows, shimmer, explode with true colours and uniqueness!
Excellent criteria for a nice coral!!
I’m a sucker for Tyree Pink Lemonade. Love the bright yellow and then the great pink PE. I just got my first piece last month. Still tiny but hopefully it grows into something great!
Definitely and oldie but a goodie!!

Can you take a picture of it standing back a bit? I'm curious to see how it grows out! I've seen this before on WWC, just never looked further.

The picture I shared was from a Google search, mine hasn't grown out enough to show you as this coral is a slow grower. Let me see if I can find a better picture.

Older picture so it's bigger now, I'll try to snap a good picture tonight after work.

My favorite acro that currently resides in my tank. If someone could ID it for me that would be great :) Otherwise the runners up would be my cali tort and maybe setosa or red planet. I should probably add that it's growing well in a tank with almost no active filtration other than a refugium of macro algae. Water changes are rare as well and for alk/cal I just dose kalk in my topoff.

That's really HARD!! My favorite coral of all-time is the JFox Homewrecker. Don't know that I'll ever be able to afford one though... here's the pic from Reefer's Direct. :)

Yup. My favorite also. And I will never own one. Unless some charitable soul wanted to sell me a frag for $50-75. ;)

Acropora Sarmentosa, this is my old colony, they are a slow grower, but I like the dense growth formation. I have only bought wild colonies, but they are pretty hardy once established. The last image is my newer colony, it was 3 days in transit but it made it and is recovering.

This is my favorite in my tank. A little Carribean Rose coral that appeared out of nowhere as a tiny glowing dot. I really like the look and pretty colors of some of the SPS corals but I am just not ready for that jump.

Nice size colony!! Looks like a tenius to me.
