Used IO for years, then used Kent for a while, used either Reef Crystals or IO mixed with equal parts Reef Crystals for the last few years I kept a tank. I will just use Reef Crystals this time.

I have decided to use Reef Crystals for my current build, also. I may try or mix in some other brands later, but for now its a great way to fill my tank up without breaking the bank and also without compromising on much, if anything.

I have recently started mixing Reef Crystals and Red Sea (regular) 50/50 for my WC's and it mixes exactly at what my tank's parameters are at.

I've been doing some reading on this guy's 600 gallon system and he mixes 3 or 4 brands of salts to "get the best of all worlds" in his tank. I agree with what he is doing so I am trying it out myself. So far so good but I've only done 2 water changes with the 50/50 mix.

I think it certainly makes sense to mix. Then if you get a bad batch of something, the effects are much less severe most likely. May have to start picking up a box of this here, and box of that there, and mix. :)

Using esv now and extremely happy but considering trying red sea salt... anyone try both of these brands on your tank?

I was a ESV user till BRS had their crazy black Friday sales on red sea pro so I bought three bucket at once. ESV is better quality salt without a doubt as red sea Salt seems to have moisture in it but I think I will stick to red sea for the sake of consistency because I was having trouble when trying to adjust small bit of salinity say 1.023 to 1.025 on a 15g barrel.

I'm slowly switching from Red Sea (Regular) to Aquavitro Salinity. I've been using Red Sea since day one I've just heard great things about Salinity and it mixes closer to the ranges that I want to run my tank.
