I love the Sed Sea (not the pro) I seem to get great results with it

just switched to that from natural seawater seeing great polyp extension!

The reason why it's better to me is that I can mix it to what ever level I need plus there's no need for me to role or shake it.

Esv salt all the way. Numbers are spot on everytime and it is a very high quality ingredients!

I have had sucsess with reef crystal

Brightwell and Red Sea pro I previously used reef crystals and it was good for the price but I have seen significant improvements in polyp extension after switching especially in sps

Kent because our local shop sells it for $35 for a 200 gal box! Didn't notice significant enough improvements for the cost difference of DD.

RSCP High Ca Alk and Mg works good for me. I buy it in commercial bag 200gal mix. $65

Since there are so many here running Reef Crystals and Coral Pro, I have a question. Have any of you ever had issues with the high alkalinity with these when you mix them up?

I try to keep my tank Alk around 8.5-9.5 dKH, and I'm finding that using either one of these salts will shoot my Alk to 11+ even when doing a 5-10g water change. Granted it's only a 75g reef.

I used to use the normal Red Sea before they changed things around, now I can't find it locally anymore so I've been using these two and everything would always look worse after a water change - the Coral Pro especially. I can't understand why when stability is the name of the game in reef keeping that people would want to use such a hot salt, unless your tanks are really consuming THAT much alkalinity?

For now I've switched to normal IO with some ESV hopefully arriving via UPS this afternoon! The regular IO has improved things greatly though.
