I just switches to Tropic Marin and love it! I used red sea pro and now that I switches I would never go back. TM seems to mix quicker, crystal clear as well and does not leave behind a blackish residue like red sea always did! I know it's more money, but a LFS near me has it for $68 a bucket.

Red sea pro for me.

If you can get Fritz for the price of IO?

Downgraded my tank to a 45 gallon. Now I can afford tropic Marin pro and I really like how easy it mixes.

io reef crystals. Every week I shake up bucket. I would imagine any salt not used fast enough would have settling issues. Just my practice.
Same, except I get it in a box because it’s a little cheaper. There are 4 bags in the box, and I dump one bag into a storage bucket at a time. Easy enough. For the price it’s my choice.

Where do you get the box

I've heard there were people having issues with Fritz.
I've been using it for almost a year and it's been good for me.
So far Fritz has been testing good for me. Even ICP testbof my tank was good and its 100% Fritz by now. My tank is having issues but I cant blame the salt mix. I may switch back to HW or Tropic Marin for quality and consistency reasons. I am happy with the quality of Fritz at the price I was getting it at.
After seeing so many people using Reef Crystals I needed to share my experience. I used it with good results and no real issues for at least a few years over 2 or 3 tanks. After IO redesigned the brafics on the buckets and changed both the IO and Reef Crystals forumal thats when issues started for me. Reef Crystals statted to have very high alk, 14+ dkh and mag would be very inconsistent from bucket to bucket and water change mix up of the same bucket. IO and RC have always left a build up on my mixing up and buckets. Final straw was and issue with 2 different buckets of RC and a bucket of IO in a row mixing with a visable brown tint, thanks a long story I will share anyone likes. But that it for me with all IO salt products, poor qaulity control leading to highly inconsistent and poorly mixed salts and poor quality ingredients leading to precipitance and contaminants.

If I mix then only Red Sea blue bucket otherwise NSW tank always balanced.

IO is the Colt 45 of synthetic salt. Works every time.

I haven’t done a water change in months. I think having a 0ppm water source would be the most optimal thing to worry about.

Instant Ocean Reef Crystals.. good results best price (although it's gone up dramatically recently)

It comes in nice individually packages of 50g mix which I find convenient for my 50g weekly water change. No measuring ... less salt dust everywhere

I'm running a Triton method tank, and currently I don't have enough SPS corals to use magnesium, and with my current magnesium count registering over 1600 ppm I am unable to correctly dose Triton Core7 as I have to either not dose any of the Core7-1 or severely reduce the amount dosed. As I have been told that only Core7-2 (calcium) is designed to be dosed at different amounts and that the three other components should be dosed equally I have to have a salt mix that allows me to adjust the magnesium levels. I currently use Aquaforest Reef Salt (very good by the way). However I would like to bring the magnesium down and the only way to do that will be some salt water changes (The Triton method is still very new in my tank so this isn't a concern). I've researched the various salts and the only one that allows or has lower magnesium is ESV Bionic Salt. BRSTV has some very good videos on the various salt mixes. ESV Bionic rates very high in their tests. I'll be ordering a batch of this salt in the next couple of weeks.

I started out with Fritz RPM and had nothing but trouble with keeping levels consistent through the batches. Mixed dirty and was just a nightmare. I contacted them about my levels after a fresh mix and after a few emails all I got were crickets.

Made the change to ESV about 5 months back and I couldn’t be happier. Levels are the same every batch, mixes SO clean and if you have any issues their customer service is 2nd to none. Once you get the 4 part mixing process down it just becomes 2nd nature
