What should I do?

Hes in a 29 gallon tank by himself and I want to start medicating the tank with metroplex Furan-2 kanaplex. Problem is it's hard and expensive to medicate a 30 gallon tank. Petco is having there 1 a gallon, is it bad if I put him in a 10 gallon tank for 2 week while I medicate?
Hes about 3.5 inches

How active is he? Could you do a 20 gallon long? You could even fill it to 10-15 gallons and that would give him more horizontal space.

My guess is he’ll probably be ok. What do you think @4FordFamily ?

It will be a little tight but if he’s in there alone he will survive. It may raise his stress level though being in a small tank.

^^ I agree a 20G long with 10-15G of water would be better for swimming space

So what should I do now. Lol
Keep the temperature between 74°-76°. Lower temperature, the more oxygen in water. If it had velvet or etc. The cooler water will assist it in breathing. I'd dose some (reef safe medic by polyplab).

How strong is you pump? Do you have uv sterilizer?

Dose reef safe medic in reef tank/DT. I'd recommend it. Cured my tank.

Hes in a QT with very strong flow. Temp varies from 78 to 80

Drop it to 75° slowly. Try to just feed him and leave him alone after. He's stressed as well.

Not trying to degrade another statement but do not use Reef Safe Medic by Polylab. This will not cure ich or velvet. It may assist in managing it but will not cure or eradicate it.

Worked for me. Just had to extend treatment beyond recommended and few other upgrades. Experienced it. Didn't kill any inverts. Fish have no signs.

They may not have symptoms but it did not eradicate the parasite. To eradicate you need copper, etc. Reef Safe Medic falls more under management then eradication.

Ok,
Just got home from work and hes not breathing heavy at all and is eating, not aggressively but picking up a piece of mysis here and there. I added a little bit more copper last night Maybe that helped. Who knows, I will keep u guys posted
Thanks again for everyone's help

Add carbon, lower lights to keep it less active and increase oxygen if at all possible.
If you can, also run some water to trusted Pet store and have them test it as a second opinion to compare readings with yours. Temp should be around 78 deg and salinity 1.024-1.026
Low or High salt can cause that heavy breathing alone

But if I eradicate 100% with copper. The after 130 days remove copper add inverts. If the invert was from a ich or velvet infested tank, could the parasite return to my system?

Or exposed to untreated system as all inverts are.

So this guy seems to have made a full recovery and is out of copper for almost weeks in a sterile observation tank. Im just a little nervous with the symptoms (very heavy breathing amd not eating for 7 days) he was showing b4 the qt process (14 days of 1.75-1.90 copper checked with hanna checker every other day).
How long could I be 100% he has 0 ich/velvet?
