Ever added something to your tank thinking it was a great idea and it turned out to be a nightmare? That fish that ate all your zoas? That coral you can't get rid of? The anemone that ate all your fish?

Let's hear those stories!

DAMSEL!!! I hate my damsel it has been attacking all of my fish! I managed to remove one, but the other one is giving me a run for my money.

These! Ugghh

A local reefer did me a favor by giving these to me as one of my first corals.... I greatly dislike it now

Nothing in my saltwater tank, but back in the days of freshwater tanks I had a happy community easy going tank. Umm I put a baby Albino Oscar in, I'll leave it at that...

Good stuff!

This was my first reef tank and those Three Stripe Damsels came as a "free gift" from on online fish order. I should have boxed them up and sent them back! :D

This is my tank now infested with Blue Snowflake Polyps. I actually like them but I won't put them in an sps tank again.

"Peaceful" Green Chromis trio and aiptasia. Ok, so I didn't add the aiptasia intentionally, but I didn't recognize the threat when it first appeared on a frag.

Things I have added and never will again:

1. Damsels- That dang free fish cost me $250 in other fish that it killed over time

2. GSP - I loved it back in the day, but it spread too fast and I had to dremel a rock to get rid of it. Really hard to get rid of. I would do it again if I was better about isolation though in a different tank.

3. LTA - the Long Tentacle Nem grew way too fast. The clowns liked it, but it started to sting the surrounding corals.

Things others have added and never will again: Blue Cloves, non-quarantined fish...

I can't think of anything i intentionally added that i would never add again. Certain things will take more care and can become issues but then that all the same fun for me.. Oh i would never add power compact lighting.. but thats ove rthe tank not in.. not sure if that applies..LOLM

I remember when i used to keep caulerpa in my reef tank b/c i loved the look. Came back home to a green tank one day so don't think i'll do that again.

Man, I'm glad I've never kept damsels they sound like nightmares!

Bristle tail file fish. At first he was great, ate up the small aptasia and even ate frozen foods. Then one day before my very eyes chomped on some rare zoas. In disbelief I waited a few more minutes to see what he would do... chomped on an acan head. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN.
