What's wrong with my leather

I want sure if it would die if I didn't attach it. When I do attach it I want to put the cut edge on what I want it on or does it matter? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions

Ok so frag rack not good idea it tried to blow away so I put it beside a rock where there is no flow. I'm going to take a rock out tomorrow and try to break it into a few pieces so I have some places to attach things. The guy I got my coral from isn't very experienced I don't think. The devils hand came lose the cabbage was loose and a single polyp he glues to a tile came off. Which is cool cause I want the polyp to grow on a rock. How hard is it to remove stuff of tiles and remount? The tiles are ugly imo

Glue doesn't work on leather corals and many other soft corals. The cut part will likely fuse to something sooner than other tissue, but it doesn't matter where it attaches. Another option is to take a toothpick and spear a small portion of the base area and put the toothpick into a small hole in a rock. It will take at least a week, probably longer, for the coral to attach fully. As for the tiles, you can use a razor blade to sheer it off, or you can take a pair of pliers and break the edges off the tile until it looks like a rock and then glue it to another rock.

Ok cool. Yeah I will try to beak tiles less room for error. I'm going slow I want to make sure everything is gonna make it before I go attaching but I want to break up one of my rocks tomorrow so I can wedge rock pieces so I can frag up some when they get bigger. The xenia is the only thing that didn't open up good. His tank was nasty and the corals were covered in algae I removed most that I could. They should do great now that they in clean water lol

While the rocks are out, drill some different sized holes it them so that you can attach corals easier.

Can it be done with a regular bit?
I have coral attached to most of the big rocks, so I don't think out would be a, good idea to drill.them. When I buy more rock im drilling them

Yeah should be I'm just glad its doing something kinda had me scared.

I stitched my little cabbage piece to a rock. Is it possible to frag a cabbage leather while its in the tank? I got a big one but its glued to my main rock that holds everything up. Was wanting to trim it a little

It won't produce any sort of toxin or anything that will hurt other coral or livestock?

You can run new carbon to prevent any stress toxin buildup.

Put it in before you cut, and take it back out in 3 days.
