What's your favorite LFS?

I've traveled quite a bit this past year and always try to stop in a fish store. I really enjoyed Art of Aquaria in St. Louis. Definitely wasn't the largest, but the owner was really nice and chatted with me for a while, and that's probably the one I've looked most fondly on. Insanely good prices, and I still regret not picking up this huge weeping willow leather that he had.

Best display tanks I've seen: AquaSD in San Diego, Coral Corral in Tampa, and Atlantis Aquariums in Montgomery (sting ray tank).

I need this thread to keep going because I'm going to Chicago next week and still don't know what shop to check out. CoralFish12g always talks about Tank It Easy but it doesn't seem like there's much selection. I still can't believe I've been in this hobby for so long and haven't made the trip over to anything in Atlanta. They all seem like they're so far outside the city so it's tough to add on a trip to Marietta or Alpharetta when I'm staying downtown.

That's what I'm saying. Next year I will be traveling cross country. And I am plotting my trip out and dont wanna miss some gems on my way west.

I have heard stories of midwest ranchers driving 3 hrs 1 way to the closest one.

I feel like that's pretty common in my area. We have a couple of stores around town but for whatever reason people will decide they don't like it anymore and will drive 2-3 hours to Huntsville or Atlanta.

I have heard of a place in the Atlanta region. I forget the name but its hands down the cleanest, all white, drop dead gorgeous lfs I've ever seen. I gotta find it.

Rural Tennessee checking in. My favorite “local” fish store is JKS aquatics (3hr drive) followed by Emerald Bay Fish and Reptiles (1hr 20min drive).

I don’t dislike them. A couple of my fish and my blue hornet zoas came from them. Price for drive/selections, I prefer the others.

Rich besides the tank, two fish, rock and a few small things it all came from Reefco in Green Brook NJ. It’s about 1 hour from Brian’s house I recommend checking it out. Small store but quality fish and coral. It’s the kind of place the colony of Walt Disney acro is behind the frags

TSM corals I am a huge fan of. pieces of the ocean, Manhattan aquariums, Something Fishy, Aquatic obsession are a few more.

BioReef is our go to store also! Awesome selection of fish, corals, inverts and supplies. And the staff there is awesome. They are friendly and happy to answer any questions we have.

I think reef scene is very small and has limited selection. I would second Bio-reef . Eddie the owner is awesome and his display tanks are unreal. Also Coral gardens in the Towncenter is pretty good as well

Its actually Coral Logic - not sure what happened with Auto correct there, its on Gate parkway before you get to towncenter on the left. To be honest I didnt know they were there, until I found them by accident about a year ago. They have been in business for 9 years and are a good choice if Bio-reef doesnt have what your looking for
