A couple years ago I realized that I bought my pink spotted watchman goby way back in 2005. While I've now had him nearly 15 years I'm sure he was probably 1-2 years old at the time of purchase. At 16-17 years old he isn't slowing down in the slightest. It is definitely the longest I've owned any fish (any pet for that matter). He's lived through a power outage that killed nearly every other fish, 4 house/tank moves, grad school roommates, and now a wife and kids. I know there are people that have had individual fish for longer but I'm curious what's the oldest fish you currently have in your reef. Looking forward to the responses!

My current oldest is my vlamingi tang. I've had him for 3 years. Basically when I set up my tank. The oldest fish that I originally had is a pair of Doni's Reef Snowcassos I had back in 2011 which eventually got sold to clownfish depot back in 2014, and 3 years ago I was able to get one of the babies for my current tank. AMD last I spoke to him (a few months ago) they're doing great and still producing regular clutches for him. So that would make them 9yrs old now.

My oldest is my Potter's wrasse. Had him 6 years.

Purple tang and ocellaris clown 20 plus years. Funny my momma clownfish lost her partner many years ago. I put in a couple young studs when I switched to a bigger tank about 3 years ago. (I honestly didn’t think she would live through the change). Anyway, she’s been laying eggs again now for the past year or so. Cougar!
