Oh man! I bet him jumping had something to do with his eye loss? Do you notice it hindering him catching food at all? I have a bluesided (pretty much the same fish just without the yellow) who is a very close second as my favorite fish, after Harold of courseI have a one eyed Yellow Flanked Wrasse (from @Humblefish). He often sits in his cave home with his good eye towards the front of the tank looking for me at feeding time. He's a very excitable boy and has jumped out of the tank no less than 10 times in the 9 months I've had him during feeding time (the only time my screen tops are off). His eye loss hasn't hindered him as he's #2 in command in the tank behind a 6" Pink Margin.
Here he is peaking out of his cave on the right side of the picture.

He has not found his way out of my tank yet, and hopefully ever, but I do hear him splash at the top every once in a while. He is just now getting his manly colors and he is going to be a stunner! So now you have me worried and I have to go reinspect my top just to make sure for the 100th time he can't escape lol!

He is a great wrasse, and I'm glad he went to such a good home.
