Who has some 'Asian' Acan's

Those look absolutely amazing !!!
I actually just snagged a few from TSA at their last sale. The last week or so,they have not been happy. Mouths have beem gaping open. Started about a week after I got them. Still semi-puffy,so I am helpful.

I had a similar experience. I put them into very low flow, I realized that my fish were brushing up against them, and my flow was too high. It made all the difference.

I’ve had terrible luck with Aussie acans.

I got these from “Asian acans” from BSA over a month ago and they are all looking great and not only retaining color but gaining.

The aussies are not like this. One of those frags looks like a galaxy inside. Another is a black acan with green glitter effect. Others are bright orange with stripes

I’ve had lots of acans and rainbow acans. Bsa promised me the Asian ones are different and nicer and I took his word and I truly am impressed

I'm actually having a hard time with all my asain acans. They did good for a week and then they just got mad,gaping mouths almost all the way deflatted,so idk. Then all of my acan's started doing it as well. While all my other acan's were perfectly amazing before I added these. Granted my alk was pretty high,despite that like I said all my other acan's were growing and happy even with high alk.

Over the pasr week I have slowly been lowering it via water changes with a different lower in alk salt. Doing about ½ gallon water change every couple kf days.

I do,at least 3x a week. I spot feed each frag.

Historically, despite regular feedings like you, it was Aussie acans that just end up dying on me, one by one for seemingly no reason. I’m having better luck so far with the Asians. Maybe they have different preferences for flow or parameters ?

I have NEVER had a problem like this with acan's but once my asain ones started the next day all my acan's were mad. So I either had something on my hands after cleaning them when I put them in the water or when my wife was cleaning the room after I was sick (even though she knows not to spray chemicals near the tank) something floated over to the tank.

I have done tons of water changes and changed my carbon numerous time as well. No idea what it is.
