Dang it !!! I should have kept the scorched body of my Paletta Pink Tip. I bleached mine completely in extreme high light due to poor acclimation procedure

Still bumped about it.

I've killed 3 frags of this something about my tank because I have other corals flourishing. Sucks because I really like this one so much I'll probably try a fourth time lol

I am with you too. I killed one. Somehow my tank kills any coral which has a name tag RR (Reef raft). Anything I put with a name tag RR including zoa is gone.

Not a great photo and not a colony by far. This thing encrusted for almost a year before showing any vertical growth and it is still a pretty slow grower for me. It has subtle pink tips but nothing like pictures I have seen in other tanks. It looks better than it ever has, so hopefully it is on its way to looking great. And I'm definitely not posting this picture in Adam's thread.

One of my favorites.........I originally bought a frag back in 2005. I grew it into a 12" colony re-started with a 2" frag and grew it out again......I've split it a couple of times. Funny story on the name........Mike Paletta didn't have this coral in his tank for years. About 2-3 years ago my friend Dan gave him a frag of mine at one of our swaps.

When it's really doing well the pink can extend down the tips a good 1- 1.5"

Colony 8 months later

This is the original frag from 2005. The frag will turn all green and look turdish while it's basing but all the new sprouts are when the pink starts to show, so if your frag looks ugly that's normal and I've seen it base in some tanks for months.............don't give up on it, it will reward you in time.
