Wierd New Fish Deaths...

Thank you all for the help, really appreciate it!

One final question, and maybe a serious one...

If I have no intentions to QT future NON FISH livestock, mainly anything that isn't a fish, is a TTM/QT/Fallow period a wasted effort? I unfortunately do not have the room for a full time coral QT, an invert QT, 2 TTM tanks, and a holding/QT tank. While I understand the risk of bringing anything in on a frag plug, coral or invert is much less likely, there is still a chance.

This is a really tough thing to do, and I am completely torn because I still have not seen a single sign of Ick, Velvet, Brook, Flukes etc. Everything that I have read about velvet say's it is a very aggressive killer, and I haven't found a single "confirmed" case of velvet where a sign wasn't present....

If your fish are currently not showing symptoms then I think that yes and you don't plan on doing QT on non - fish in the future, then imo it is a waste of time. However, I think you are making it much harder than it needs be. If you don't do TTM you can get by with 1 tank for coral and inverts and 1 tank for your fish. No reason to QT your coral and inverts separately. And if you make your fish QT an HT it can be used to treat and observe all incoming fish (not to mention be a lot less work!)

Do you have dinoflagellates? Bubbly looking cyano?

No, I do not. I have a small algae bloom, but I believe (as well as others) it is just part of a new tank syndrome/dead fish etc. Just going to wait it out and see what happens.

No real updates, haven't done anything new to the tank in a while...

I am having a similar issue after moving a few months ago and upgrading to a larger tank cant seem to add a new fish all dead within a few days or a week at the most now I have a huge algae out break as well ... becoming a real Bummer ...

OP, you said you've heard slow drip acclimation can be bad for the fish.. can you elaborate more on this?

I also don't have a QT, and I just finished a fallow period of 3 months due to ich, now I drop acclimate all my fish for 2 hours before putting them in my tank as I can honestly say they just breeZe right in and start swimming around like it's beeen their home for weeks. Drip acclimation works very well for me. I inspect all fish I bring home (never order any online) and if it shows ANY signs of anything bad I don't get it.

If they're not acclimated properly they're being thrown into a new environment that'll stress them thus making it easier for infection.

Just my opinion
