Do you have a petco or petsmart near you? Go get some Prime to detoxify the ammonia in the tank now. You can also use it to de chlorinate tap water so you can make saltwater with that in a pinch

isn’t this the same thing ?
That will dechlorinate yes. Does it detoxify ammonia?

I don’t think it will take care of the ammonia so use that and make saltwater and do a WC. That tang won’t last like that.

Until you get a biofilter started water changes are going to be your friend.

You have to understand that this hobby takes a lot of patience and requires a lot of work. Cycling your tank usually takes a couple of month, with testing and monitoring your water parameters until all parameters are stable. Some local fish stores just wants your business and some may not be as knowledgeable as you think.
Sorry, but I really don't think you've done enough research cause if you did, you wouldn't be having this problem. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not bashing on you, I just want you to know that there are more to this hobby then you think, and I want you to setup your 75 gallon properly or else you're going to be hurting and killing a lot of animals. Please do more research for your 75 gallon.

Welcome to R2R.
is the fish eating? looks a little malnourished and on the skinny side. I'm assuming that you didn't qt the fish. Keep an eye out for other symptoms like flashing(scratching against objects), yawning, constant swimming into the current (or in front of a powerhead), twitching, white spots, red patches and white stringy poop which could be signs of parasite/disease and would need to be treated properly for.
Where are you located? there are a lot of local reef clubs in here and someone close to you might be able to help jump start your tanks cycle by giving you couple of small pieces of live rocks from their system.

@lagatbezan i live in Long island and Manhattan it’s fine it was eating just today he was going to the top and was like swimming a bit to the side for a little bit now i adjusted the powerhead aiming to the top to get more air fluctuation and it’s doing better. i ordered bio spira to get rid of ammonia if there is any in Nutri seawater. As well as another container of nutri seawater to do a water change.

I believe you simply got caught in what I think is a slight marketing scheme. Nutri Seawater does include bacteria in it and they do claim you can add fish right away if you use it so why wouldn't you believe that? The fact is, even when adding this product or Bio-Spira or the like you should still wait before adding livestock. You need your bacteria to multiply and embed in your substrate, rock, decorations, etc. It isn't enough just to be in the water column. The tank still needs to cycle.
But, since you are already where you are you are doing the right thing by asking questions and by ordering the Bio-Spira. You can control ammonia for now by water changes if you have more of the seawater or a good salt mix, this is where you would add the marine tapwater conditioner by the way.

You've gotten a lot of good advice. I am going to +1 to going and getting some Prime. That water conditioner will NOT help with ammonia and I highly suspect that is the major issue your fish is dealing with at the moment. If you can't get or make water TODAY, I would definitely go get the prime to hold you off until the bio-spira and water get to you. Your fish won't have days to wait, ammonia can build up and kill in a matter of hours...

Do you just have the yellow tang in the tank, no other fish or animals? Like it’s been said, the wAter you bought has bacteria in it but it has to reproduce in yourtank, rock, etc. doyou have sand, rock/coral in the tank for the bacteria to Grow On? The fish produces ammonia so the bacteria needs abundant to process it. Also you will get nitrite as a result which is alsonot good (but less than ammonia) finally the nitrite is turned to nitrate. Which is not dangerous unless in very high concentration and even the more for inverts vs fish.
In fact to cycle a tank, people add ammonia as food for the bacteria to consume and grow. Once they test to see that the ammonia is gone in a day after adding, that part of the cycling is done. You should see nitrite next and again once it goes to 0,you should be good for fish.
Important to have test kits to track this.

You did the right thing by reaching out. No need to admonish you for cycling issues. The best you can do is try to save the fish. I think switching the powerhead is a start. If you have an extra air pump, it’s not a bad idea to get it in the tank to ensure there is enough oxygen in the water. As for chemicals, people do not like the idea of instantly cycling a tank, buts it too late now. IMO, I would buy Startsmart and put about 3-5 cap fulls in. People will disagree, which is fine (and welcomed) in this hobby, but it can “complete” your cycle quickly and give you a chance to save the tang.

I"m curious if anyone else is thinking the fish isn't getting enough oxygen? Swimming to the top and fast breathing, this is what my FW fish did when the filter malfunctioned , I quickly got bubbles going in the thank with a couple air pumps and the fish got back to normal while I dealt with the filter issue.
Just wondering if aside from the other possible problems, if this is one too.
