YES’S 300 gallon build

Hello everyone

Well here is the start of the YES’S 300 gallon upgrade build. We have a 120 mixed reef that we are upgrading to a 300 gallon. I will be updating the whole process.

Today we moved the 300 gal tank to its spot and our 120 went to the living room for now while we get everything ready. Had a custom made metal stand for the 300gal

Me and husband love reefing and been having a tank for a year now. We learned a lot and we do a lot of research and also try new ideas

. I’m the one that takes care of all the maintenance and my husband builds and connects everything together he takes care of the plumbing and technology

). We also got a 32 gal cube in our bedroom, a 40 gal in husbands office and a fish/frag room in the garage that I will also do a post on that build too since it’s still in proses . So as you can see we love reefing . Our number 1 hobby.

Looks great so far!!!! Do you have pics of your current tank? Any stock list ideas? You sound like me! I do all the tank maintenance, and my husband does the plumbing stuff and electrical! LOL! [emoji3]

I did post the current tank we lost a lot of fish when we went one vacation we had a electrical shortage and lost 19 fish

so have 10 left for now and coral once all set up I will start ordering fish

)

Sorry I didn't see that! Guess I am tired....lol...water change day is Sunday! Bummer about loosing your fish! I can't wait to see the progress!

Looking good!
I'm trying to understand the overflow looking weir 1/3 of the way down on the left side of the tank. See the red circled section in the photo. Could you explain?

That is how we got the tank it was used as saltwater for turtles and that was the water line so we bought an overflow and moved it up and covered the over one up I will post a picture how it looks now
