According to Dana Riddle's article (that states PAR is probably not the best measurement) - at noon - at the ocean surface ON A CLOUDY DAY - the PAR is 950. at 10 feet its 550. It levels off at 250 PAR at 30 feet or so. At 10 feet on a sunny day the PAR is higher than 400 for 80+ percent of the day. So - I think that tells a story.

How’d you like them? Why did you switch?

They were good, they grew coral well. I couldn’t get over the orange one the one side of the reef day. I hated it. If they corrected that I might still be running just the OR Bars. Switched to a ATI 4 bulb T5 and now just run the OR3 Blue plus for pop in the morning and at night.

Doesn't it come down to acclimation?

did not help me, you think 5 years was enough? Ive had more growth in 3 months, then 5 years by turning my leds way down
