20 gallon long

Well I don't think those LEDs are putting off too much life. It seems like he's thriving where he's at. I'm kinda more excited about coral than fish! So what other corals does everyone suggest I would prefer LPS maybe some softies. No Kenya trees, Xenia, or anything that's going to just take over lol.

you could try other euphyllias like torches and frogspawn, acanthastrea are nice. Favias too.

Saw this thread and seemed interesting due to my frag tank has been a 20l since 2011. And by far t-5 has given me best growth and color. Tried a ai hydra led but I got reverse effects with it. T-5 agreed!!!!

So all the corals are still doing great!!! Water params are all normal! I do have a small outbreak of green hair algae on the glass but the hermits have kept it off everything else! I'm thinking of adding 2 black ice clowns this week! Also thinking of adding some nassarius snails, an emerald crab, a red banded pistol shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp. Any thoughts?

Everything is doing great just added a bonded pair of black ice clowns and a RBTA. Never had one before but my LFS said it had to go with the clowns? Don't know if that's true or not but we got it acclimated and it's in the tank now I covered my power heads with a seachem media bag. And the anem has attatched to a rock. Can I turn the light back on or do they need to stay off?

Alright guys I'm wanting to upgrade my lights and was wondering which one of these you would recommend and why! It's between the kessil a160we or the kessil a150w and the kessil a360we. I'm also planning on purchasing a Neptune apex. Still unsure which one any suggestions on that is also greatly appreciated!!

Ok so update on the tank!! I've pulled the trigger and have a kessil a160we coming in tomorrow!!! Everything is going great! RBTA is doing great and has found its happy spot and the clowns love it! I have also added a yellow watchmen goby and pistol shrimp pair! I think I'm stocked on fish, or do yall think I could add one more? As far as corals go I have 2 hammers, 3 frags of zoas, and a duncap coral. Planning on adding a cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp Monday. I'm thinking I may want to keep a few SPS corals like birds nest and maybe an acropora and montipora. Just wondering if would need to dose to keep these and if so what's a good dosing pump and what do I dose and how much all of the information I've read kinda confused me so just seeing what y'all's opinions and/or experiences are! Also any other suggestions you might have on the best way to acclimate my corals to the kessil!

Bulk reef supply has a good 2 part dose. I like doing it manually but if you gotta have a dosing pump jaebao is my favorite.

Awesome! If I did decide to do LEDs what are some good ones that won't break the bank. Also I can hang them where the aquarium is.
Look into AI Prime, you would only need 1 unit for a 20L. My corals (lps, sps, softies) are doing better under the prime then my old t5 with ati bulbs. Plus everything looks better, leds don't generate heat like t5 do, and the app that you use on any device has cool features on it as a plus. My lfs just had a sales on them for $169.00 bracket is like 30 bucks and ceiling mount is 20. There was a new feature loaded onto the app for coral accumulation. Plus if you ever go bigger just pick up more AI primes and they all link together on the app.

LED's are garbage. They keep corals alive, but they will never replace the impressive growth and health you see with MH and T5s. If you search around, especially on some of the other reefing forums, you'll see people are slowly starting to switch back.

I have to agree! To complicated for my taste and I have alot mor growth with my quad t-5 set up. Cheap but does the job. Went from a 3 polyp halls to 10 plus since feb. Not to mention all the other goodies I have baking in my tank!

I ended up going 160 then got upgraded to the A360WE and everything is growing just fine! My chalice has grown a lot and my euphyllias are sprouting new heads and my Zoas have spread.
