Hey Reefing Community! This is my first thread on R2R. I have been in the saltwater hobby for the past 10 years but have recently built my first major system. It has been under construction for the past 4 months and I have just started adding livestock. I thought I would be short and sweet to start with giving a general idea and a lot of pictures of the progression of my system. In the future I will go through all the steps of building my system and updates on the main display. I welcome comments and questions and look forward to talking with all of you!
My current system “ when everything is added†will be a total volume of 600 gallons give or take. Everything hooked up to this system was either used on one of my prior systems, a hand me down or used and given to me. The only new things our electrical hardware, plumbing parts “ Ball valves, PVC, Elbows, Etc.†and bulbs. If it were not for my generous friends and some lucky hook ups this wouldn’t have been possible! All the livestock is from my two smaller systems, which I have now torn down. Here are the tanks and some equipment:
90 gallon SPS Reef with Hawaiian fish
100 gallon mixed reef. Mostly LPS.
55 gallon SPS frag tank
60 gallon LPS frag tank
150-gallon sump
Two 60-gallon mixing bins, inline with main system.
