Has anyone in here spent the money on the A8 Pro? I'd love to see a screenshot of the app to see how the control sliders (color channels) are setup. If it really is based on the G6 layout, it should have the extra violets, correct?

Huge improvements for the App!! Things are now working correctly and it saved my settings on reboot.

I think the change logs are unique to each platform version of the app. If the Android version is working well I wouldn't expect an update but the iOS version was improved on my end.

I looked for updates and it indeed showed my a8se could be updated.

I think mines are running a very old version

Got 4 on now..
3 a8se cheapest of the cheap
Most right is a8s (cree leds and meanwell psu)

Cant see the difference, also no par difference between them

TLDR: after 7 months, they seem a better value than vipar spectra black boxes or other generic lights so far.

Just an update, I've moved this to a different tank. As they don't hold a candle to the OG AI Sol Blues. (Actual coral color and growth)
Spectrum and PAR seems good, especially with the ecotech narrow lenses. (I like my lights up high, like 24" off the water)
They function fine.

If your router loses power, they might not reconnect automatically. Simply unplug the lights, and plug them back in after a few seconds. They should connect again.


Otherwise, working well, and I didn't even need to memorize Chinese symbols and buttons on the app. English is working fine. My sps didn't seem to like them, but the lps in the other tank are doing well.

I have an issue with them losing time sync somehow, on 2 of the 4.. realy thinking about trying direct controll, will that be more reliable?

Now 2 seems to be disconnected (issues with 2 the most and 4 seems o have issues keeping time every so often)

Sync never worked for me. Right now I just have them separate running the same program which seem to be working

20% white and 40% blue 4 units over a 250g does about 300 par up top 180 bottom..
No difference between the cree+meanwell a8s and chinese a8se

They are very very similar to the real pro g5’s

After read a lot of stuff about it, i do not believe why on earth someone would buy a radion. Let's see if last more than 3 years. Mine arrives by tomorrrow I'll post a par test.

Here in brazil, a radion costs more than 15k in local currency.

At those intensities u will hear fan noise.. also theres no thermalpaste between the led board and the heatsink, putting paste between them could very well make them less noisy
