I had problems too like most with fish jumping and disappearing till i put a clear mesh screen on top of the aquarium. Havent lost anyone since.

I was going to try something like this, do you have any suggestions? Where can I get said mesh, and how is it against salt creep?

I had a 6 line disappear for several weeks. Thought he died and then one day he appeared

Hello. We just added 3 firefish 2 weeks ago. Saw them in day 2 and then all three disappeared. We didn’t see for 5 more days then all of a sudden saw two come out of rock work. Then gone for a week, no signs of any of them. Then today I was home and all three came out during the day, later morning and off hiding again this evening. Did catch them all eating frozen foods today with my second feeding! Yah thought we lost the little guys!

This guy was my first fish. I have a total of 9 fish now and when adding certain fish through the years he would hide until he felt comfortable. The last time was last Spring when I added a copper band to my tank. He hid for a month, no sign of him at all. Like always he eventually came out little by little until he's was out all the time.
