Australian live rock

I received my Aussie Live Rock today and definitely not disappointed. I told them to keep my pieces on the small side since these pieces will go into my existing tank after curing. This is the type of rock that I easily obtained 20-30 years ago before all the restrictions were put in place. It is very porous and covered in different colors of coraline . If you zoom in on some of my pics you can see this rock still has lots of life. I bought 7 pounds but think they gave me a bit more.
So far I like your best. Mayne because it's under a little blue.
Looking amazing
How many pounds total?

Anyone test the water in their holding tank for ammonia yet.

Everyone's pics of these rocks look awesome. Thanks for sharing and cheers to the Aussies for getting the good stuff out. Would be a dream to one day start a tank with 10lbs from Australia, 10lbs from Fiji, 10 lbs from Philippines, 10 lbs from Hawaii. Would be impossible to screw that tank up :)

Saw the pics
I was expecting more color according to pics.
No purple at all. This is very good liverock.
Not disappointed, since its still Australian live rock. This is same as NYC persons rock selling for 35 a pound.
I think I know the guy you're talking about in NYC

According to the website, the rocks were deep purple. I don't mind spending the money on the hobby but please don't post pictures of something so colorful when you know it's not. I'm not disappointed because I know what Aussie rocks looks like and bought Aussie rocks for my tank. For those other hobbyist they think they are getting heavy coralline encrusted rocks only to find out, it is not a true representation of the merchandise.

As far as color not like the pictures on their site. I am sure it will color up over time and proper lighting. Very happy and excited as I never thought I could get some LR from that part of the world especially in this condition.

A lot of red, corals, clam maybe, etc
They are in wayer in box
Tonight 100 percent wayer change then more pics.
A lot of breakage amd die off
But great rock

I should have paid for air cargo . 50 per box then 1 a pound. No more than 100. Would be worth it.
For 374 to door great price.

Get this first
Philip can always send you some.
This is a lot better than Philip.
More porous.
I'm going to second this. I got to look at my rock a bit more yesterday evening and it's got so much life the more I look at it. Truly an exceptional product that we may never have a chance to obtain again. Kp isn't going anywhere any time soon. This stuff may dissappear.

I will test for ammonia after 24 hrs in my curing bucket.

Got rocks today a couple hours ago , a general idea for you guys , I’m going to let the rock sit and eat this up instead of wc

I was not going to test for Ammonia yet but I did around 0.2 on salifert. Tried a test strip I am trying out... everything else as expected and almost 0 for nites etc.... No wc for a bit.

I could definitely be wrong but I thought I heard somewhere it's recommended to do water changes on real live rock like this to keep ammonia down bc just letting the ammonia run high will kill off the extra life on the rock like macros and other life and such and in turn making the cycle process longer. Like I said I could be wrong but I thought that's what I heard. Someone who has more experience than me feel free to confirm or deny this please.

@ccarr123 @ssdawood ok. Ordered 7# to get the free shipping. Asked for smaller sized pcs really like the quality u got @ccarr123 have water made up ready to move between buckets through the cycle. KP will b available. This won’t. Lol. U guys are enablers. Just sayin
