Ok I ordered a piece of "blue acro" through a localish guy. This was one of those life lessons. Obviously I shouldn't have taken the piece with my doubts. Please refer to these photos and tell me if you believe I got ripped. It's his belief that I got the piece in the photo. I say no way not a chance. Please chime in and as I said, I concede I never shoulda taken the piece home.
Here is what I believed I was getting

Here is a photo taken the day I bought it

Sorry to say but from the pictures, it is a dead acro, and by the shape of the acro is looks like two different pieces.

Just for the record the piece is SLOWLY coming back... but regardless it wasn't the piece I ordered along with being near death.
Here it is a few weeks later

Yup some algae but it's turned from pale white slowly to pale bluish. Make no mistake, I'm pretty sure it'll bite it but its better off now than it was... but it'll probably die but not from my lack of trying. My point was not only was on deaths door but even if it were healthy, it's still not the piece that's in that first photo.

The current condition is a nonissue. I just wanted either confirmation or not of my instance I got the wrong AWEFUL piece and not the one in the WYSIWYG photo.

Lol thank you for that concise contribution! I've since bought a piece elsewhere. This is a photo i took of it in my tank and not a dealer image. I was determined to get a nice lil piece to fulfill my purplish-blueish acro quota for which that original piece failed to do.

Not the same piece! Did you order this off ebay??

Nope, not eBay. I'd actually feel better if I'd gotten it that way... no I actually ordered it through a guy who sells coral localishly. I drove 45min each way. In hindsight I should've insisted he contact his supplier to make it right. I took delivery of this dead, wrong piece and that was my mistake. I'm just ****** that he actually tried to convince me that it was the same piece in that first photo.

I'm sorry. I made a mistake but the point still must be made. This is the piece I was supposed to get

Definitely a different piece....aside form the alive dead thing
I like the new piece you got.....looks amazing

This sucks, you were in person when you picked this up? I would have refused, that ridiculous. Im glad you ended up with a nice piece but that's not good business. I call foul sir. I hope your next buy goes nothing like that!

Thanks so much! Yeah the dead thing sucks. I always hate to see stuff die... but I adore the new one! It's what I always see online but rarely if ever in person.

That's so very much! Yes I'm ashamed to say I picked it up... Although i'd kinda like to fabricate a story about a middle man to take the fault away from myself. I questioned it but shouldn't have taken it. I've told him all this and he's now agreed with me that I didn't get the right piece. I've tried to see this as an expensive lesson.
