Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I use the cheap styrofoam coolers, ice in zip locs on the bottom and about 5 layers of bath towel then the corals/fish on top of the towels. If the temp goes up, I remove a layer of bath towel. If the temp drops too much I remove ice or fold the towels to make them thicker.

I like this. Thanks for such detail.
I watch temp and adjust my window to keep temp. Not always the most comfortable temp for me.

We can blast the AC and if the coral is chilly I will give it hugs. The ice and towels sounds like a good emergency plan for too hot.

Didn’t think that far in advance. It’s for Saturday. I am doing something stupid again

Last stupid thing except what happens at Richaplooza. And that will be all on you.

If I'm going to a frag swap or big show, I'll take one or two of my big styrofoam boxes. Seriously, I have one that's near 30qt size. Live Aquaria Diver's Den ships in seriously huge boxes with very large bags. I've saved some packing peanuts for this reason. I'll line the bottom with ice packs then fill with peanuts. I've even used one of the dogs bath towels. Clean of course... just some insulation between the ice packs and corals.

I accept that responsibility. I will not let you down.

I know you won’t I trust you. We could make good cell mates. You be the money man and I hand out the goods. Maybe even do a little pawn

You are quite right. I just giggled. I never thought about it that way. :)
Nice to know I can still make young girls giggle.

Like this. Then I painted it black. :)

There was also mention of clear PVC. Cost prohibitive in my world and it won't stay pretty and clear for long.

Or my favorite whaling song. @crusso1993 will probably remember this one.

This is the 3rd Country Joe song I've seen in threads in the last couple of days!

What is everyone’s favorite cooler

My favorite cooler is a large one filled with ice, beer and a bottle of whiskey. Preferably free! ;)

That sounds so good right now. I like bottles floating in ice water. When labels start to come off they are ready

Got a new leopard wrasse today. Beautiful little bipartitus female. My melanarus followed her to the sand where she buried. Not really attacking her, but definitely wasn't a friendly "hi how are ya?" He will most likely be rehomed.

It should have plenty of pods to eat if it doesn't accept frozen right away. I was going to harvest some more chaeto, but I think I'll just leave it for now. It took my negrosensis female 3 months to take frozen, and she had plenty to eat in that time.

I just worry about aggression from the melanarus before I can rehome him. Hopefully the black leopard buddies up with her. The leopard and the black leopard are already friends, and don't take crap from him.
