I just made the girliest sound in history! So beautiful!

Just had a very blunt discussion about the new tank. It is going to happen. I have been patient. Andrew has been patient. He deserves this. I am going to make this a reality for him. I have gathered everything over time. @Lowell Lemon made his dream sump and reservoir. Our lights are older, but they work. Together with all of your help, this tank will be amazing!

Here's the look we're going for.
This is 2ft x 2ft, I may go as short as 1ft x 1ft color sections.
Now I need to decide whether or not to paint the slip/slip couplers connecting them together?!

I have a controversial question. Do y'all think a megalodon could still exist? No, I haven't seen the movie yet. Just a curiosity.
Absolutely not. Just the same as big foot aliens, unicorns etc. Simple fact people been around for a fair amount of time and no proof, carcass, a tooth ( not a fossilized one ) a whale that had a giant chunk out of it....nothing. but it would be cool

@Why-Me that would look really good with light gray walls inside the stand.
perfect because the stand is going to be painted gray to match my sca rustic gray stand

We are going to turn the tank around. The overflow won't be in the left rear corner, it will be on the right rear side so Andrew can reach it easily. The sump will run front to back on the right side with a popout door so he can access it fully and it will line up with the overflow.

The canopy may have to be modified to accommodate the tank. Ours is shallow at 15". I may have to elongate the sides to make it look more balanced. I'm not sure about this. Ideas? Thoughts? I'm not even opposed to making this a peninsula style with the canopy connected at the rear.

Does anyone see any issues with putting the overflow on the side?
no they work well

almost went that route with the 40 breeder

You can make a canopy like that no matter the dimensions
