Cade Chaos Grimoire

I got myself a thai constellation starter and a spiderman starter as well as an anthurium wedlengeri starter. The will come as tiny bbs and I can grow them into the monsters they truly are.

I bought lil "frags" too! I haven't bought plants other than walking into a big box store and getting a small one in a pot. Since I was specifically looking for one type I was surprised at all the cuttings, wet stem w/nodes, single leaf options.

Hopefully my 2 bbs will grow into magnificent things as well!

Gave the pico a real good scrub down today. Letting it settle, pulled sheets of algae off the walls - oops.

Once it settles down I'll see how much I missed.

Minimaxis are starting to really color up in there though.

I think I settled on a cultivated reef purchase for the cube, not 100% sure yet. Not a huge order, but a few of the things from the various other vendors I had basketed anyway - without supporting anyone sketchy or paying nearly $150 in shipping alone

Yes, coral order placed. Mostly softies for the cube, nothing for the pico.

Cleaned the glass in both though, cleaned the rocks pretty well in the pico. Rinsed the sponge really well. Getting ready to swap out carbon in both and fix the roller in the cube - again - I keep having to fight with it because there are vermetid snails growing in there that keep randomly shredding it

My big aussie crown has finally settled in and has polyps out all the time. I eventually want to find another fiji yellow for in that tank as well, but I've been nervous due to bad shipping luck the last 2 attempts.

Incoming new: clove polyps, daisy polyps, anthelia, nepthea (green and pink), blue solomon tree (one of my saddest losses from the old big tank during the transfer fiasco), red xenia (another sad loss), pipe organ

How 'bout skelletor cuddles, new plants, new corals and tank things?

Wow, that sounds better.

Ugh, oxydator didn't seal properly when I refilled yesterday and dumped the entire volume of peroxide overnight

Leathers look stressed, blue ridge looks stressed. Fish and inverts could care less at least.... hopefully it sorts itself out by tomorrow

Peroxide doesn’t stay long in the water so it should be ok.

Yeah, it didn't occur to me the problem yesterday before work, and it took a couple hours after I got home for it to register what it may be and check it. We'll see how it looks this morning once lights come back on. Fingers crossed everything is okay....

Looking much better today, not 100% but definitely significantly improved.

Today I got an order of snails for the pico (until they clean it up, then I'll move most to the cube).

I also got 1 macro, 2 gorgs, and 3 sponges for the cube in the same delivery.

Tomorrow should be some corals.

Lighting plan laid out yet ?... ;) plumbed by end of weekend ?...:thinking-face::)
Plumbing is good to go actually, as long as it's tight - haven't done a leak test on it yet because we don't want to put water in until we get it in place from lighting.

But uh no... Haven't touched lighting yet lol :confounded-face:

Maybe this weekend.

No, I think I'm going to do a Tampa Bay rock pick up since they're local & easy - might do some pick ups from lfs as well if there's something specific I need shape-wise. Not sure how many #s yet, I've got time. Figure I'll need to get it wet first lol.

Sand I prefer Tropic Eden reef-flake and meso-flake combo. Out of stock in the bigger bags right now, naturally. I don't care if it's live or not, but both varieties are only in stock in 10lb quantities.

So going 100% live rock ? I like that ! do you have choice at TB ,fully cured ,or just uncured ?
