I'm not saying any are fake. I know Reef Raft Canada all too well from personal experiences and don't believe anything. Not a single word of any part of anything or any conversation that comes from Canada. Sorry if that gets some people going but it's just the facts and I know first hand!
Reef Raft Canada was a sponsor here for a short time and didn't last long. Their threads were full of lie after lie and it was called out constantly. It was a complete joke and for that they are no longer on here. I just dont know how con artist like this make it in the business and people still continue to support their fraud.
Its known that the colony died and there are a hand full of frags out there that look nothing like the pictures from Canada. Looks like the legend of the JD will die along with the colony.

You're right, there's more to the statement in the first post.
But I think we should stick with the fact that Jay sold frags to TGC in the US only............. again US only.
That's what this thread is about and nothing else.

I agree with you but honestly I'm not sure that I believe that even though it was sent in a text and posted here. You know what they say, once a liar always a liar.

The problem with that is that everyone thinks rr Canada and rr USA are affiliated and for him to call it the same name obviously people would believe it is the real deal. If the coral he is selling wasn't purchased from a third party that has lineage to rr canada then he is purposely misleading people to take advantage of the hype and hugely overinflated price tag that this coral if fetching. Especially since none of these frags are colored up its easy to get something that looks similar but who know what you'll end up with in the end. That's just dishonest. I hope he did get it from a third party with lineage to rr canada just for the sake of the people that drop big cash for something that might not be worth much at all. And I doubt people that bought it from him will speak up about it because it will automatically devalue their frag. I'd imagine most people will stay silent about it and sell their frag either now or later as the real deal. At this point unless you are buying from one of the verified venders with this piece or someone who can prove they got it form them you just don't know what you'll end up with. IMO that really muddies the water for this piece and devalues it just because of the doubt. I don't own any rr pieces and probably never will because I don't want to pay quite a bit more for a coral that has an rr in front of its name. Their are plenty of venders on here that sell quality corals at a fair price that look just as good or better.
Wishful thinking I think. With this thread, the value of the JD just went up another $200. There's no bad publicity remember? The more mystery and drama that surrounds the JD, the more valuable it becomes. Just looks at the price jumps, $400 to $800, to $1200+ now.

Only problem is, no one knows whats real or not since there are fakes being released. Hard to bank on something only hoping you are getting the read deal. If there were frags ONLY released in the USA then where are the frags from the picture that was circulated? Those were nice size frags. Are they anywhere to be found? Who may have fragged those and sold the frags? Its too hard to say and uncertainty in such a high dollar frag is typically what ends it. As diesel stated, due to all of this crap he really dont even want his JD frag any longer.

How do you know it's not a fake? If everyone would show more candor and quit being so cryptic in these threads, all doubt would be removed.
I don't know about you Ben(Diesel), but I've been fooled by a couple vendors (NOT ReefRaftUSA for the record) and hobbyists over the years that I paid top dollar for a specific "LE" that turned out to be something different. To me, it's stealing when you're falsely selling something as something else. I have this piece too and hate seeing these threads cause doubt in legitimacy. I wouldn't have opened the thread if I didn't have it since there's so many lately, but when I saw you using the Strawberry Shortcake comparison, I couldn't resist. Nobody pays 800+ for a strawberry shortcake frag. lol
If Tony just said it's his version of the coral, who cares! For all anyone knows it could have been found from the same place. If the original colony is gone and Tony has the closest thing to it, it's still highly valuable if people are willing to pay his set price!

Well fellas as you already know the Jaw Dropped colony has died which of course the supply and demand effect starts to take place. This is the last one available. 2400.00 including shipping. Its been under bad lighting like all of the other frags known to man but it will color up. You can see the base color in the picture. First 2400 gets it!
