Hey I get the crazy right now! I remember having a 4 month old and it's not easy to deal with baby, house, work and a tank! Still though, to do this right, you gotta do the rally in a dip and sterilize the QT before putting all the fish in there. 6 weeks fallow for the display and metroplex in the QT after the dip. Best of luck!
Thank you!

I will do it right then.

6 weeks or 72 days?

The first time I settled on 72 days but if everyone agrees 6 weeks sounds better :-)

6 weeks is the minimum fallow period for brook and velvet. Ich requires 76 days. Most people (including me most of the time) will tell you to go the full 76 days to be safe.

Ah that's right 76...thanks In that case I may do 76 days again.

Thanks! Yes I wish I would have purchased all of those and had them on hand..instead I have to either get really lucky locally and pay triple the price or hope it's on prime next day or same day...

I looked through it and at this point I have most of that list already on its way but taking it's sweet time....

I will make sure I have everything on that list soon.
I ordered from amazon. I believe they had them all.

Well, everyone took a bath..even my phone! :-|

I sterilized the qt and all equipment / tools with bleach rinsed manually dried then let finish drying in the 107 degree sun.

Put some carbon in the hob since the dry time was rushed ..everyone looks okay..the clown is a little more energetic but still sticking to one spot

I will start metroplex tonight.

Wish me luck..thanks for all the help.

Be sure to remove the carbon when dosing meds. The carbon will remove the meds from the water.

So even though the metroplex is taken orally I should remove the carbon?

*Edit I didn't realize you could dose the water..I assume this is what I should do?

Yes, for brook (and correct me if I've mixed up threads again) you'll want to dose the water with metroplex, so yes you'll need to remove the carbon.

Glad I posted!

I'll let the carbon run a bit longer then take it out and medicate

Just to be clear, am I following the directions and treating every other day (for 10 days/ 5 doses) or am I treating every day for 10 days (10 doses) ?

So the clown did better after the dip but his back to not eating for 3 days now... swimming in place in corners at the bottom or trying to hide from others like below..

He might need another dip, it sometimes takes more than one. Are you still doing the metroplex also?

Yes I'm still dosing metroplex

Do I need to worry about sterilizing the tank again?

Ideally yes you would sterilize again while he's in the dip.

Everyone else seems perfectly fine..should I be re dipping them too?

Thanks
