Well I just got back home and the clown didn't make it... :-|

I've been gone all morning but this is how he looked when I discovered him.

As of yesterday I started soaking their food in Selcon

I have Furan - 2 and Kanaplex
on hand if needed.

I suppose at this point I should treat as a bacterial injection to be safe? Or should I observe for symptoms for a while?

Not if the other fish are not showing symptoms.

I would stay the course with the metroplex for now. I'm not great at postmortem analysis, but I think it looks more like somebody was nibbling on him than something bacterial...

It would be a good idea to have some kanaplex or furan-2 on hand though, just in case.

Okay, I have it on hand so I'll just stay the course.

Thanks

Six line looks like this today...

I'm assuming this is still brook and will re dip and bleach QT but thought I would post pics in case it's not Brook.

He is scared of the camera so these are the best shots I could get.

It's possible you have more that one thing going on here. That could be ich popping up as the brook clears. You may start adding copper to the QT as a cautionary step.

I'm okay to mix copper with the current metroplex plan?

I have copper safe + the API test kit on hand.

I would add some kanaplex in there as well...I think that one spot looks a little infected, most likely secondary to the parasites

Also is the dorsal fin supposed to look that frayed towards the back? I don't think so and my guess would be a bacterial infection but @melypr1985, @ngoodermuth

Yes, I do see some signs of infection there. Kanaplex and/or Furan-2 would help.

If it gets worse, I would advise the trifecta (kanaplex+furan-2+metroplex) every 48 hours after a 25% water change, for 10 days.

Since I have both Kanaplex and Furan 2 on hand I'll use both...I'm still doing Metroplex I'll just continue that treatment.

Once again, thank you guys.

Okay so just double checking....instead of trying to follow the package directions on Furan -2 I should just dose all 3 (furan - 2 Kanaplex, metro plex) every 48 hrs after a 25 percent water change?

Today another dose of metroplex is due, so I figure I would dose all 3 at the same time and take it from there every 48 hrs (without restarting the clock on the metroplex)

As for the copper, raise slowly over 4-7 days? I haven't started it yet as the wrasse's spot's actually have disappeared since the re dip / bleaching of the tank...I was going to start it today along with everything else but should I wait so they aren't getting hit by all the meds at once?
