I don't know what he is referring to that he doesn't know why I have this. If referring to the cyano or something else.

Yeah I think he some kind of imbalance not sure what I've never experienced this before I'd still like to know about filter socks

I did post that I am running a filter sock on the page before this.

With good skimming socks and Chato and a UV you shouldn't have this.

Do you dose or feed marine snow bottled phyto lotsa flake or pellet

#1 I would remove socks they can cause the cyno you might want to try a different light just my imo

I have a trigger ruby 36 it has socks but I don't use them your skimmer and cheato can handle the nutrients

Sorry I didn't see all the posts where you are using what but I would wipe all the cyno out of the fuge I could and pull socks and maybe try a different light. Just my imo

I'll see about removing the sock and wipe the glass where the last of cyano is.

I do not dose anything yet. Was getting ready to start adding kalk to my ATO. As far as feed I feed PE Mysis shrimp and coral frenzy. Also feeding is every other day for mysis and coral frenzy every 3 days.
Would you recommend something different?

Your feeding is fine. Do you still run carbon pretty sure all metals have been removed so you can pull that the real idea is to set up a ecosystem that takes care of itself and if you have foam in front of the carbon pull it. I'm going to admit I don't do water changes but it definitely good for corals bad for cyno.

Am not currently running carbon. I have been considering running it. What would be the best reactor to run it in?

I've seen on here where people are about 50/50 on this but my last water change was 30 Plus yrs ago the ones that change it never tried no different.
