Do You Name Your Fish?

Just picked up two saphire bullet hole clowns. Bonnie and Clyde.

We've named our fish after "flamboyant" performers; Sir Elton John (6 line wrasse), and Englebert (purple fire fish). Our cleaner shrimp we call the inspector because anytime anything is going on in the tank he comes running to check it out and generally make a nusincece of himself. I have a couple of more colorful names for the shrimp, bit this is a family friendly forum.

Lol my cleaner shrimp’s official name is Pierre LaMer, but his unofficial name is definitely S***head

Names the clowns Bonnie and Clyde, the conch is named Dyson like the vacuum cleaner lol cause he is always cleaning with his little trunk. The other trochus snails Havnt got names but I’m sure they will eventually

Midas Blenny: Goldmember (Yeah Baby!)

Helfrichi Firefish: Prince (Or maybe the artist formerly known as?)

Yep firefish are great for reef tanks. Just make sure your tank has a cover as they are known jumpers.

AnaElsa - black capped basslet
Ralph(wreck it Ralph) - long nosed hawk
Sisu-pure please firefish
yao(from mulan)- tailspot blenny
YWG-mr. Ferguson and russel the pistol shrimp (although I haven’t seen the watch man for 5 months)

ordered yellow tang captive bred and yellow eye kole tang.

Sigh…I really didn’t want to do there was less emotional attachment and less pet feeling with them…but of course the wife wants to name them all so we do. Usually by visual or by their name.

Skunk Cleaner - Candy Cane (I think)
Caramel Clown - Caramel Corn
FoxFace - Swiper (from Dora the Explorer)

I think it makes it more enjoyable for her though so then she doesn’t question the spending as much…so I go with it

Tailspot Blenny - Greg (After one our friends who we all joke is a serial killer....)
Mandarin pair - Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn

Once my mated pair of ocellaris clownfish (now 16.5 years-old) turned around 10, I felt guilty not naming them since they were basically family members by then and even acted differently when I came into the room vs. anyone else.

Since these two spend most of their time in a cave created by the live rock, boomers will quickly know why I named them Wilma and Fred.

My female snowflake clown has finally earned her name: Regina George.

She, along with her partner (who is now, by default, Aaron Samuels) and my lemon damsels, are mercilessly bullying my tomato clown, which I had to put in their tank today. He's found a little nook in which to hide, so I'm hoping they'll get bored with him and go back to the cool kids' table.
