Eightline Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus octotaenia)

It was in our holding system. I don't have a 8-Line in my personal tank. I'm only working with a 40g Breeder at the moment. Soon to upgrade to a 60g cube.

Potter's Wrasse / Johnsoni (Terminal male) / Yellow Watchman Pair / Harlequin Shrimp Pair

Bell's pair in QT... green chromis, zebra blenny and hawaiian cleaner shrimp in my sump.

Kevin

I don't think you should put the Belle in a 40B....they should go in my 220

:)

I am a bit worried about my Potters wrasse. He's pretty fierce at feeding time.

He may end up in the sump if he makes trouble.

She's pretty. Can't wait to get my two girls. From what I was told from LA, these are coming from DD so they've been well taken care of

Thanks.

apparently, I got the only ONE that came from the LA facility. this is what I was told on the phone yesterday. I forgot to check the shipping label to find out if it came from WI or CA. hmmmmm..

btw, she's probably 1.5" at best.

Yikes...I'd call LA and talk to them about it. On one side you got it for cheaper, but on the other you were told that it would be bigger. I was told my female would be at least 3 inches.

I'll call them them later on.

Successfully snagged the male from PIA.

And that "female" sold on DD today was far from female.

I was intrigued as to the size reference of a 3" female... I was wondering if they injected them with some steroids! Those would be HUGE females (and LARGE males as it is they barely break 3" as terminal males)... nice to know they are small. lol We may be getting more in next week to fill some gaps (i really wasn't expecting them to be this popular), but they are a nice fish!

Any aggression issues with the Eightlines that you guys know of? Will be interested to hear how yours does Marvin.

My very first 8 line was a nice male. He did good with a Lineatus and a Rhomboid. Next, I owned a trio until the other two decided they wanted to be males too. I got rid of the other two and kept the biggest one. I got rid of him when I moved tanks. The female I just received is by far the smallest I've owned. She'll be the only flasher I'll have for a while. An updated fish list is in the works since I cannot have too many other fish coz of Picasso's. Hopefully I'll be able to complete the list by end of the year. :)

Here's my two new girls. Came in looking really good. DD had about 2.5gal of water in each bag. Great shipping. One is almost 2.5'' and the other is about 2''

Awesome...congrats. Glad everything came in good for you. Will be getting my order from them tomorrow.

There hasn't been any available in the states for a few years now; with the political situation near the Red Sea all collection of them virtually stopped a while back. Considering that hasn't changed too much I was quite surprised to see them show up.

awesome! they are looking good.

I didn't get a chance to see mine last night as I left the tank lights off for the day and didn't get home til late last night. I'm looking forward to coming home tonight. I hope that she was able to rest up the whole day yesterday with the lights off.

Woot woot....got my shipping confirmation :xd:

Can't wait to see how they react towards each other. Thinking about using the acclimation box for the QT this time around since I already have a 8 line and Larmarks female in there and I'm adding one of each.

Just turned on the lights. Both 8 line started eating some mysis. They look so much healthier then the last male. They're not hiding at all. Both roaming around. Love it when fish that's been in a bag for 15+ hrs eating right away
