Fishcrazy06's 72 bowfront and fishroom build thread

Well a little update on the tank! The inhabitants of the tank all seem very happy. I ended up having 2 major set backs though. One the ceramic shaft on my pump broke. Looks like it got something sucked up into it. Secondly, My one side of the dual halide setup I have isn't firing the bulb right away. I think its the ignitor but have not found a place to get one for it!!

I will have the fuge fully setup and running next week. The new skimmer is on and working like a champ. Pics to come soon for the update as well.

Well the tank has been up for a few weeks now. I had one of the side of my Dual sunlight supply ballast die, Had the ceramic shaft on my return pump break, and have many snails and crabs taking some rides down to my sump, and my mandarin took a trip down one day as well.

I now have another ballast until I can get the one half of the dual ballast fixed. I received a new ceramic shaft for the pump and have that back online. Added a "rigged" 90 to the bulkhead inside the overflow to quiet it down.

Now I need too find a way to put some kind of snail/crab preventer over the top of my calfo.

Other than that the fish all seem happy and the tank is starting to look good. The zoas and Blasto's are started to spread along the tonga and the overflow like I planned too. will have some new pics soon.

Wow its been a while since I have done an update on here. I have the 55 fuge all plumbed in and tied into the system. This week I am going to tie the 90 gallon frag tank as well as I need the space and need to move some things around.

My Anemone has grown and got huge in this tank and I am in need of moving it. I will take some pics tomorrow of that. I also had some coral to the tank as well today. Another new plate coral, Maze brain, orange crush acan, frogspawn, and a type of favia.

This thread is definately in need of pictures updates. I also decided there wasn't enough flow so I had an eco-mod and a maxi-jet 1200 so I added that tonight. Wayyyy much better but not use to my corals moving sooooo much. I think this will make the tank much happier in the long run as well.

wow that back wall came out nice.... very natural look

Thank you. I am very happy with it. I get a lot of compliments from people in person and say it gives the tank a nice Deep look and almost like its a "cave" or "overhang" type look. I definately would do it again.

Well I decided to change out my sump already. I am going to go with a 100 gallon stock tank for my sump so I can have all of my liverock excess in there and possibly my Calcium Reactor and skimmer. The skimmer for sure. I should have done this right from the beginning but oh well.

Also almost am complete with tying in the 90 gallon frag tank as well. Everything is coming along well. Next thing you know I might actually be starting a build thread for my 240 wide! LOL

Here are a couple of updated shots of some things. I also picked up a Sailfin that has pretty bad HLLE and I am working on making him better! :xd:
