- Yes, we are going skiing. They just got two feet of snow, so it should be great.
- Wow, that's awesome. So, are you going water skiing?
- No, snow skiing.
- Oh. I guess that makes sense.
- We have been taking them for years. They really love it.
- Oh. Is this their first time?
- No, we have been taking them for a long time.
- Oh, ok.
- So, do you usually go during the summer?

CONGRATS on the babies!!! Now, we need details...pictures... we love babies! Grandbabies are the best, you can sneak Jolt cola into the sippy cup and send them home with your kids. That is called karma.

@Mike from TN, you beat me to it. I was going to ask if @Just John looked like Spock after this conversation.

I'm working from home today. Nothing on the books but conference calls. My 21 year old daughter had a BP of 145 / 95 last night. I think she finally woke up and realized that her cholesterol and BP issues are serious. I've been trying to get her to a doctor for months but what do Moms know? She has been preaching "body positivity" for a year. I have nothing against body positivity if you're healthy. Even Lizzo eats a vegan diet and exercises. Now, I need to find her a doctor in Sarasota. Maybe she'll listen to them.

On a reefy note - the mosquitos moved from my Kuerig to my ATO vessel. I guess I need to add a wavemaker. The good thing is that if the larvae get pumped into the sump and DT, the fish will eat them or they will end up in a filter sock. All these mosquitos ... dang, it's like being back in Jersey.

Somehow I have several funny stories from getting my hair cut.
For example, one Christmas I was getting my hair cut and it was really busy. As the woman was finishing up, the lady working at the next chair leaned over to her friend and said, "see, I told you it wasn't hard". When she turned me around to face the mirror it was a disaster. I went to another place to get my hair fixed and when I walked in the lady at the counter said, "Wow. Let me guess, you tried to cut your own hair in the mirror". After a too short haircut, followed by a fix-your-haircut haircut, I had really short hair for Christmas.

I was going to go Wow, that expensive but my order for LRS that just came from Premium Aquatics
10 packages 8ou each = 5 pounds for $239.89. About 2.5 months worth only because I feed other stuff too.
$48 a pound. Somewhat ridiculous.
Time to make my own I guess.

One would think that living in the country of Rural Tennessee, I’d be able to get good meat. I was raised on veal cutlets, good Italian sausage and lamb ( I know, veal and lamb are babies but they sure are tasty).
I haven’t had veal cutlet parmigiana in many moons and figured as long as I was replenishing my sausage supply, I’d treat myself.
Cant find duck breast here anywhere.
Of course, now that I’m a member of this forum, I know a duck hunter. HINT HINT!

Good Morning!!
So, Chinchilla are night active. for as long as we have had ours, I get up in the morning and pet her and put food in her cage.. worked for me, right? I have started adding the Hay and food in the evening. Today, the Hay is completely gone and the seeds and fruit are gone from the food bowl but the pellets are still there. duh, pellets are grass but not as tasty as raw timothy.
Rode 431 miles yesterday got wet just as the sun went down. the wet pavement spooked me a little. when combined with lower visibility. Nothing matches experience for doing stuff the first time.

Good Morning. Nothing exciting this morning. A little tired from our last pool party last night. It seems I am the only Man dancer, but I have a lot of Ladies to dance with. Yes, we are all old and if you are lucky, you may get there.


This morning at 6:00 I went to the beach and it was foggy before the hurricane tonight.



Just as I started on the boardwalk that leads to the beach stairs I was met by a friend.



I think she just wanted to dance.

I know my sunrises all look the same, I can't help that because it is usually the same sun every morning.



But I did discover one weird thing.



See that white net? This must be a new game that I have not heard about. "Hill tennis". Maybe.

I am not sure but I would imagine one player stands on that hill, which is very loose sand, and the other one runs up and down the stairs to try to hit the conch shell, dead seagull or Nike sneaker because I can't figure out what other purpose a net on the side of a hill like that would be used for.

Mornin’ All!
Been up since 0300. Crazy rain here over night and the NOAA radio was sounding off all night along with weather alerts from the local (Nashville) weather station on our phones. Never lost power but the internet was out for a while. 4+ inches over night and we’re under a flash flood warning here.
Heading to the LFS and reptile stores this morning. I need some supplies and chems for the Nano and we need insects and pinky mice for Priscilla the opossum.
The snake shed in a million pieces last night so we can add “clean snake cage” to today’s list of indoor shores. She was a rescue that had been fed large live rats and is covered in scars so she never sheds in one piece.
We feed her small, frozen rats (thawed of course) .

Good morning everyone! I finally worked through the "opportunities" and have my water mixing station to the point where it automatically makes new RO water. Once the RO tank is at about 20% full, the RODI system auto-flushes and then fills the RO tank.
