Good Morning!

Good morning
The fish room wall is starting to look like Frankenstein's lab. I would like to take it all down, add 2 more circuits and put it all back neatly. Ya that's going to happen.
Waiting to see if the Hydros AWC I programmed actually works. Poor Coralvue brought a controller product into a market composed of Alexa, Make It So people. There isn't much documentation on it but it seems that way with everything anymore. It took me an hour but I understand what it will do now. I only bought an XS model so it is somewhat limited on resources.
4 ports for sensors and 4 AC controllable outlets on 2 power bars each so 8 total. Right now I am running
a temp probe, 1 water level sensor and 3 pumps.
I have 1 more water level sensor and a skimmer collector level sensor to install.
So I will be able to shut down the SRO-5000 before it explodes and floods the floor by overfilling the bucket.

There is no master scheduler in it. So you can program modes to do tasks but it cant switch between them itself.

I thought it would do AWC as a preprogrammed module cause

Is right out there. OOPS that hasn't been released yet. Pretend you didn't see that.

When you bring it up it's like Twitter for your tank. Hi I turned the pump on, Water level is in alarm, I turned the pump off, Alarm ended, I turn....
Shut up Hydros.

All this stuff to keep a few fish.

Good morning. I'm off for the weekend. Just being lazy today!!! All house and tank maintenance was completed yesterday. Today is going to be laying on the couch, and staring at the reef!

Good morning! I'm bumping up my LED a tad. I have a ReefBreeders Photon V2+ (my second LED from them). I've been chicken and running it at a max of about 50%. It's a powerful light. I have no idea about PAR...I just go based on coral growth/polyp extension. I've set it based on other reefer settings for a 90-gallon tank. I keep a nifty Excel spreadsheet where I can input my max for each color and it will spread it out throughout the day based on the input start time. I can't take credit for the design. I believe I got it from the ReefBreeders website. So, that's my little project for the day! I hope you all have a great day!

Sicce did the same thing with the SDC Xstream Wavemakers. They have in all of the literature that it can be connected to a battery backup in case of power outage. What they don't say is that they have not developed that yet, just added the DC port to plug it in whenever they get around to it. I MagGyvered parts from Amazon and batteries plus and made my own.

These companies should not be selling features if they actually don't exist.

Too bad they did not think of that for the SDC Pumps - every brown out, it resets the controller and comes back on at full blast. Oh heck no.

I was going to get a Profilux mini from GHL.

Adapter for connection of level sensors and automatic feeder currently still in preparation.

It used to be when you bought certain brands you received a higher level of quality with greater levels of documentation and support. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

My older RC cars have manuals of 60-100 pages, setup, adjustments, exploded diagrams and part numbers. This last one I got the manual was 4 pages.

Good morning, gotta make my coffee still. More rain ahead. Not sure if it will be accompanied by thunderstorms.
Fish are still sleeping. It's always fun watching them just lay in their cave or by their rock.

Have you ever tried one of those thunder shirts? I'm told they work miracles.
I never heard of thundershirts, had to look that up. My girl would just destroy it. She loves pillows and blankets for comfort and but would prefer cuddles.
Was hoping to see more of the orchids opening up this thread. My favorite flowers.

Honestly, I thought it was a gimmick when I saw them at Petco. I mean ... it's a shirt - woo, right?
I know a lady that has rescued 49 dogs (not all at once). She told me the first thing she does with each rescue is get them their own Thundershirt. She said it makes them feel safe and snuggled. I can't explain it but other clients of mine use them too.

you're saying your sdc return resets the controller after a power off/on?

I feel bad. I got a bit sarcastic with a newbie who was going to follow some really bad advice from people that don't even have build threads or avatars. Never mind his refractometer, his bull excrement detector is way off.
I wasn't the only one telling him don't do that. The people that know things don't speak up anymore. Idiots are going to drag us all down.

Good morning everyone! It's that time again...

Good Morning Reefies.
what's that bright orb in the eastern sky?
might get a break from the rain today.
fun night with the storm sirens blaring.

don't forget to vote for pic of the month.
it's you're civic duty.

Morning All!
She should be okay with the Thunder Shirt. They fit tight against the body, just like a hug. They really do work!
There are a few more flowers opening this morning. I think the ones that got moved to the dining room under the grow light are going to be happy there. I’ll get some pix later today.
I was up before the chickens servicing the car this morning. I wanted to get it done before the heat happens today.
Were headed to Nashville to the LFS and reptile stores today. We need bugs (king mealworms and crickets for the Opossum and I need filter pads and some dosing chemicals). Angela may pick out a new fish to replace “Sweetpea” also. This afternoon she is headed to Chicago for the week. She will be in the support center all week on boarding two new district supervisors.
Usually, she would not travel on a weekend day so we could have more time together but she needs to be there by 7:00am tomorrow.
Hope Y’all enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Sunny won't wear anything. She even tore her collar off. I used to try snug shirts. Because she's a blue doberman and has blue dobie syndrom. Very little fur on her back. She took all her shirts off. And tore them to pieces.
Idiots are going to drag us all down.
I feel like, I'm one of those idiots. So I just don't say sheet. Coming back to the reefing hobby, I feel like I walked into a war zone with coral prices.

I guess I gotta buy a thundershirt and find out.

I don't like her having a panic attack when the thunder rolls in.

Let me show you my apps for Hydros and Ecotech stuff.
Honestly phone apps are like being dragged back to the era of MS-DOS, dial up internet and proprietary hardware. I can at least talk to the Hydros from my computer.

Good morning. Good to be back home. I have a lot of work to on tanks and house. It’s never good when I leave and husband and daughter stay home. Plus my husband has 5 college buddies coming for the 4th and staying a week so gotta get bedrooms, house and tanks cleaned for that.

Yep - I still cannot connect it to the wifi either. I do not know if I can correct the issue once I get connected to the wifi but right now... this is a huge PITA. Thankfully, all that is in the tank is sand and rock. If I had corals in there and it does this, I will blow them to bits. We've had three brown outs in two days. I was not home for the first one. It freaked my husband out.... all he heard was the massive sucking sound from the siphon on the main drain ... followed by watching the sump level rapidly rise. Thankfully power kicked back on before he had the chance to see how high the water would go. Unfortunately, the pump came back on at 100% (not 30% as I had manually set it). He said it came out like a fire hose.
Either I get this fixed or I need to get a battery back up or I switch brands.
My son in law is going to stop by tomorrow. I call him my millennial tech support. If he can't get it hooked up to the wifi then I'm getting on the phone with BRS.
