Nother hot sticky day here, forecast is 94* with high humidity. Looks like indoor chores are in order for the day.
The new shrimp and new Betta seem to have settled in to their new homes and all of the new orchids have new blossoms that should be fully open by the end of the day.

We had a tornado warning saturday, I swear the news was hoping it would tear apart mobile homes. Evil bas....
Looking into thundercoat for my fearsome dobie. We have more thunder expected and rain to be expected. Midwest weather is something else. I like it though. A glorious week!

If I remember right, you are the guy who was selling HUGE colonies of hammers - torches - frogspawns. Main reason I signed up here. You are about a 2 hour drive from where I live in springfield, 62702. I was at my in-laws when they issued the warning. My mother-in-law looked like a ghost. All while we were watching the rain and waiting for the hail.

I have got to take pictures of my mother-in-laws orchids. They love her kitchen window and have bloomed 4 times for her in 2 yrs. She didn't start buying them until I showed up.

So after I changed that manifold on my boat, I was filthy so I took a shower.
When I was a kid and took a bath or shower I used soap. It was a bar and it was brown and smelled like soap.

My wife buys our "soap", toothpaste, towels, sheets, and all of that Girly stuff so when I looked at my new "soap" I notice that now we don't use bars of soap. We use liquid stuff in a fancy plastic bottle and the stuff I have now is called "Suave, Milk and honey".

Oddly enough for breakfast I had oatmeal with "milk and honey" but I didn't feel the need to take a shower with it.
I would like "soap".

I read the ingredients, the ones I could read on this "Milk and Honey" soap, or "body wash" and I couldn't find anything that resembled milk or honey. I also couldn't find any mention of "soap".

There were about 25 or 30 chemicals probably including Prizapro, GAC, Hydrogen Peroxide, Quinicrine something, blue something #2, green something #15 and 20 hexocloridineasphering something, Chloroflorididenachinexhaun, sulfide, REO Speedwagon, etc.

But no soap.

What happened to soap?

When I used to say a bad word, my Mother would wash out my mouth with real soap. Now the stuff probably has Agent Orange and Diet Pepsi in it and it will kill you or at the least, turn you into a Liberal. (Not that there is anything wrong with that. )

So I don't know what this new "soap" costs but the fancy plastic bottle will sit in a land fill for 20,000 years where the blue and green dyes will turn a royal purple. .

Also as a kid my toothpaste came in a metal tube, probably lead.

@CMMorgan / @BeltedCoyote I have one of those ThunderShirts for one of my dogs. It did nothing for her but she is generally a shy/nervous dog by nature so it's not like she's just afraid of one thing like thunderstorms. I tried everything with her like this shirt, drops, the stuff you plug in that's supposed to disperse through the room. Nothing worked. My hypothesis is that if your dog is normally happy go-lucky but has developed a fear of something then I bet this shirt works to calm the dog in that situation but if your dog has a shy/nervous disposition as an overall personality trait then this might shirt might not work. I would be curious to know the dogs this shirt was tested on during product development. I would say give it a try but keep your expectations low. Hopefully you have a friend that can lend you one instead of buying it. They're expensive.

i was picking up thai carryout when:
the tunes I was listening to on the radio was interrupted with the take shelter alert.
my phone gets blown up with take shelter alerts.
the sirens started going off.
i get home and the kids are waiting for me.


the wife is hiding errrr...... taking cover in the basement.
had few touch down, but none was close by.
more to come midweek per early weather person guessing game.

I'm impressed you can read the labeling in the shower.
with no glasses on it's a fight to figure out is it shampoo, conditioner or body lotion.

I am always glad when the news gets no news to give. I am always happy to hear no one gets hurt. We already had one earlier this month?, that did some damage. I can't recall how much.

Even when I had hair, I didn't use shampoo. The directions were to complicated for me to understand.
